Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is clear and vivid for all the departments. Getting a btech degree from a National Institute can give you a lot more exposure for exploring new things and developing new skills. The faculty here is highly qualified and most of the professors have Phd as well. The teaching method varies depending on the professor. We have two exams in a semester namely, mid-semester exam and end-semester exam. The question papers here is of great standard and is not very difficult to pass. But beyond just passing, grades are important and getting a good grade is a bit tough.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides various internship opportunities from second year onwards. But the percentage of students getting placed through internships is nearly 24.4% only in UG programme and 18% in PG programme.
Placement Experience
Students sits for placements in their fourth year of btech degree. The placements here are fairly good and high. Accenture, AMDOCS, American Express, Axis bank, Aakash Institute, Baxter, Bharath electronices etc. had comefor placements last year. The percentage of students getting placed is 84.7% for the UG programme.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure depends on the income of the family. There will be no tuition fee for the students having income below 1Lakh. Similarly, the fee varies for each income range. We have the opportunity to apply for various scholarahips like NSP, RELIANCE, INFOSYS etc. Students get job I'm their fourth year mainly through campus placements. And the placements here are fairly good in all the departments.
Campus Life
We have two annual fests namely, Raagam which is a cultural fest and Thathva which the technical fest. The dates for the fests varies greatly. Our library is a treasure trove of academic resources, housing a vast collection of books, journals, research papers, and digital resources across various disciplines of engineering, technology, sciences, humanities and management. The clubs here are active and engaged throughout the year. NITC is active in participating in various inter nit competitions. Inter departmental sports competitions are also held annualy. NSS and NCC are the two important ones among the various social groups present here.
Admission
A fairly good percentile I'm JEE entrance examination is required into getting into NIT. Soon after the results are published, the allotment process is through JOSAA website. You can avail to all reservations including OBC-NCL, homestate etc. Females have special reservation too. All the admission and allotment processes are online and therefore there is a least chances for errors.
