Crazy campus life

I choose this course because it has a vast application and great scope in the future. If we work on it then it can better the technology very much. We have a 6 subjects in the course per semester. We get 1 professor for each subject and 2 Teacher assistants for each subjects who clear our doubts and take our practicals through which we get a very clear build up in the concepts. They are better guidance for the students The professors are full of knowledge and educational qualities of them are just like a woww. The way they teach: they teach through presentation files on projectors and through visual understanding student learn easily. Exams are held at a gap of 1 and 1/2 month approximately which is not so difficult to pass. A regular student doing classes properly and completing assignment can easily pass in the exams.

Students get internship opportunities so that they get training for their jobs. Students get academic internship in IISC Bangalore and international internships in NTU Singapore, Rostock University, University of Malaya ,etc. Also students get industrial internships in companies like Maruti, Bajaj, TATA, NTPC, Talspo, Busigence, Nobroker, Biz metric , Senra Tech , OYO , Phonepe ,Filpkart, etc . Students get primary roles and roles related to their skills for their training. A student have to go for industrial/ field training for 6-10 weeks carried out during the summer vacation following the spring semester of third year. Evaluation of this trainings are done in the autumn semester of the fourth year . By the way I don't know too much exactly about all these since I gathered these all information before I came here and I am a fresher currently.

By the end of 4th semester students get internship opportunities. In the third year students get placements offers from various companies. Big companies like Google , Microsoft ,ISRO,Paypal,etc. as far I know visit the campus for jobs. However I don't know about all companies since I am a fresher but last year 63 recruiters came to our came to our campus. Highest package was 1.06 crore last year and average package is 17LPA as provided by the datas . Also 100% placement rates are there . Till now I have no such plans after getting the degree but I hope a get a job of descent salary so that I can fulfill my desires.

Tution fees is 1 lakhs per semester and hostel and dinning charges are apart from it. We get access to the various equipments and facilities for our development. We can also learn many other activities such as cultural,sports,etc. The students who secure under 275 AIR in JEE ADVANCED get 25000 Rs. for their monthly expenses. Apart from these students of general category whose family annual income is less than 1 lakh get 100% tution fee waiver and students with annual family income less than 5 lakhs get 2/3rd tution fee waiver. SC/ST category students get 100% tution fee waiver and there are many more scholarship which you can get during your academic year based on your performance in different activities. We can get jobs in various top companies of various fields. We also get exposure to the current trends of the markets and bussinesses.

Life at an IIT is always great, but at IIT Roorkee, it's a special blend of a modern life and traditional values. There are three annual fests in IITR . Cognizance which is the tech fest held in month of March ,Thomso which is the annual cultural fest held in month of October and Sangram ,the sports fest held in month Juen-July. In all the fests visitors come from all over India . Libraries contains vast varieties of books of our interests. We can also do our self study in the library but there are old edition books in some of the fields. Sports culture of IIT Roorkee is of another level . We participate in all the national level tournaments and also become the champions . Students can take training from the coaches in interested sports. National Social Service is the group run by the students for social welfare for the society in various fields . Various Tech clubs are runned by the students and official website and notice system of sites are maintained by the students of the college.

Rooms are allotted randomly to the students in the first year . Some get single sharing rooms some got double sharing and some got triple sharing rooms. Double sharing rooms are much spacious . In a room there is a study table ,a bed ,an almirah, a tea table ,a chair ,fans and tubelights per student . However we face difficulties in the starting but now we are much comfortabke since on complaining to the wardens our problems got solved easily. Quality of meals are very good but we have to compromise with the taste of food as many times we don't get tasty foods. Registration process for hostels and mess is very easier as it is included with the admission process . The fees of the same are very much affordable as we have to pay 20000 for mess for a semester and around 17000 for hostel .

First you have to clear the Join Entrance Exam Advanced for applying for the college. Then for taking admission you have to apply in JOSAA counselling and fill your interests for opting your college and branch . Registration fees for the admission was 40000. We get a time of 1 month during the counseling for choosing our programmes . We get the benifits of reservation as seats are reserved for the different categories in different numbers . I think a mentor should be allotted from every college for some group of students which can explain about the programmes and specialities of that programme in that particular college so that the students who are known can get a better idea for what to choose.
