My college experience

If you are not regular, teacher may torture you by keeping practicals back. This happens with some of the students..not every one of them ofcourse. And yes some of teachers are very partial. I posses a strong emotion of hatred for those teachers. I hope this would change in future which Is next to impossible. Still let's hope for good. And I hope there is improvement in infrastructure development because this college has the poor infrastructure I must say.

I was alotted this college on basis of my JEE marks through CAP rounds.No, there wasn't any interviews held.Well , my branch is Electrical engineering. Actually, my dad is an Electrical Engineer . So somewhere I was having interest in the branch which i am in hold now. And when I actually studied this branch, my interest got firm.

I love the domain I chose. Some of the subjects are inquisitive , the reason I love my domain. So overall the course is good. Well, to talk about practical learning, yes..industrial visits are conducted in each semester for students in order to gain practical knowledge. Yes. Recently setting of 3DPLM LAB that is 'production innovation lab' was announced in our college and it's construction is almost done. It will provide a platform to the students to explore product innovations, etc. I will mention some of the elective subjects for my branch are - 1. Robotics and automation 2. Power quality 3. Restructuring and deregulation 4. Smart grid

Yes ,college did help in providing the internship . Experience was good. We got to learn many things. There was no stipend provided.

Honestly, placement scenario is poor for this college. The only branch which has good placement scenario is computer science and IT. Like they have 50% students placed. Entc branch's placement scenario is somewhat good too. But for other branches it's worst. Like in my branch in last year only 12 students were placed . Same goes for mechanical engineers. Major companies that visited the college are TCS, Tech mahindra, L&T, Atlas copco, FANUC, W and H, etc.Most of the companies provide the package of approx 3 or 3.5 or below that. There are one or two companies like Atlas copco which provided the package of 5.2 approx this year .

Each branch oraganies some of the technical events related to their course and some of non technical events where other colleges are involved too. The other big technial events are ROBOCON, E- yantra, BAJA, SUPRA, etc where the students get platform to compete for interstate competition. Like recently , our passed out batch won the competition of E- yantra which was help in Bangalore. But the sad part is robocon is no longer held in our college due to some of the issues in past. Other big non technical events are firodiya , purushottam where college trustees provide the budget of almost 1 lakh every year. It is a inter college competition of drama which comprises of all the sections that is acting, dancing , singing, fine arts etc.where if one performs Well, he may have chance in industry. One of our senior named Sameer Paranjpe was given role in one of Marathi channel's serial named GOTH.

The fees structure of this college is a bit affordable than other colleges I suppose. Rs.93,893 is the amount I paid. No, there are no extra fees to be paid.

Yes college provides scholarship for the students those who apply for it. I personally didn't get any as my dad's annual income exceeded the limit. Till now I haven't heard any case of college helping to get loan.

There are many extracurricular activities held every year. It's fun. We do get ample opportunities to explore our talent but at the same time we have to manage our lectures and practical sessions too , else teachers get angry and then it gets kinda tough job.

Yes, i still reside in hostel but it is not our college's hostel. It is a private hostel which is in college campus itself. It is sort of PGs. In our flat, we are 10 girls living together. It's a 2BHK flat. My room comprises of three girls including me. So we share the rooms basically. And the fees are 45k per annum which we have to pay in one go at the start only. There are many private hostels outside too. Our college posses boy's hostel only. There is no girls hostel for this college . Food is okay-okay. Someday it's delicious, some other day it's worst. But yeah.. We are habituated and yes there are many other varieties for food one can have infront of collge only. There are many kind of small restaurants.

Interaction with alumni is somewhat better like it happens very rare. Alumni did help in overall development of college as well as students. They do advise us sometimes through some of lectures. And they plan for quality development of this college rather than infrastructure. So its good overall.

In first year, frequent practicals during exams made us tiresome. But after admitting to second year, there was nothing as such. Chill culture, well it differs from branch to branch. Our branch is having a little chill culture. The most strict branch in this college is ENTC. Else all other branches posses cold environment.

Teachers are well qualified except two or three. Some of them are pursuing PHD . Most of them are Mtech holders I suppose. But they teach really well. And yes they are interactive too. We can share any sort of difficulties with them , they will surely help. Overall , standard of teaching is good.
