What Students Say
Likes
- Loved the campus and sports facilities with decent packages
Dislikes
- Some Teachers are not good at teaching and problem here to to find a rrsouce to study the topic
- The drug culture here is not good . Even 1st year students are drug addict
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose it because of decent placement The faculty to student ratio is about 1 to 200 Most of the faculty are good but some are really poor at teaching and delivering the concept to the students.faculties are all phds and some are also iitians.
Internships Opportunities
Micrososft comes for placement in alternate years . Zomato usually keeps very high cutoff of 9.2 cgpa for first round of interview . Thapar has dwcent placement but not value for money college as per the fees ..
Placement Experience
Campus placement is abput 65 percent and average placement is about 11 to 12 lpa for coe students ..here once u got a placement in your preferred company u cant apply for others .So this is the con here.
Fees and Financial Aid
Your cost would be around 24 lakhs just the college fee .. so u need to work really hard to get a decent return on investment . There is merit based scholorship for 1st year on basis of jee main and cgpa based scholorship for other years
Campus Life
Campus life is very nice .All facilities are available and it provides nice playgrounds and excellent sports oppertunities. Clubs here are based on entreprenureship, web development and other coding fields.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are available at single ,double and 4 seater and with ac and non ac as per your requirement. The food here is also good and there are special items in the menu for ocassions and weekends .hostel is better than 3rd party pgs.
Admission
I gave jee but got only 90.138 percentile and finally got thapar college with 95 percent pcm marks in 10+2. Cut off for coe is around 94 percent for outside state in pcm . And last person to enter the college is about 77 percent in pcm home state
Other Applied Colleges
Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Instrumentation & Control Engineering)
I wanted better placement so thats why
