Dislikes
- The infrastructure of the college is not up to date and there is scope of much improvement
- The male :female ratio is very poor in our college
- Traveling to Silchar in itself is a very frustrating experience as mostly you'll have to change trains and moreover very few flights are available
Course Curriculum Overview
This was the best course i was getting considering college rank and current industry status. Not pretty sure about the faculty:student ratio, but there are good amount of teachers in our college and it always feels sufficient. The faculty is mostly quite good with their qualifications and teaching methods. Some are just better than others but overall all are good. The term exams were held timely but it was a bit difficult to score well
Internships Opportunities
Equal emphasis is given on internships as the placements. But the problem mostly it is student orientated.Youll have to find internships mostly on your own but the college provides several opportunities for so.Major companies plus new ventures give internship opportunities here. I am not eligible enough to write more as I haven't experienced any internship being just from 1 St year
Placement Experience
Placement sessions takes place in the end of third year or start of fourth year.Placement stats have risen significantly in the recent years.Their have been approx 1000+ offers from several companies like Microsoft ,swiggy, capegemini, Infosys, TCS, Byju's ,LnT etc.,major companies. The highest reported package was 80 lpa last year ,but from inside sources I came to know that someone got an off campus international placement of 1.65 CR per annum. Percentage of students getting placed was about 85% of last year with top branches like cs,ECE and ei being well over 90% .I also desire to get a job after completion of the course
Fees and Financial Aid
I got the fee remission based on parental income status.I got 2/3 Rd of my tution fee remitted and thus have to pay about 50,000 per semester, including hostel and mess. Haven't availed for any scholarships as of yet
Campus Life
There are many student orientated clubs, societies and social groups present in our college. These include Dance club, sports club, singing club, drama club, photography club, coding club ,gyansagar and many other such groups. Its quite fun and engaging in these clubs.Learning new things and getting time of academics are it's biggest pros.
Hostel Facilities
We are provided with basic beds, chairs, study tables, personal wardrobes , sufficient lights and free lan wifi in our rooms. The rooms are satisfactory and are certainly liveable. The food quality is quite good .It surpassed my expectations, menu quite varies and covers meals from all around the country and follows a students (MMC) decided weekly menu. Registration process is mixed with the academic registration,so it isn't very difficult and is quite affordable as per government rates. The locality is quite good, lish green scenery and fresh pollution free air will be the best of pros
Admission
I gave JEE mains and advanced entrance exams and scored 94.8 percentile in Mains but couldn't qualify Advance due to maths subject cutoff not being cleared by me.Admission process was completely done by me via Jossa and Csab counselling. I got a seat in the OBC NCL reservation status and that's the only benefit. The process of admission was quite smooth and went great for me.
