NIT KURUKSHETRA Review

I chose this course because NIT KURUKSHETRA computer Engineering is one of the best and it requires high rank in JEE main. The faculty member here are well qualified and some have more than 30+ years of experience. The exams are not so easy. There are 2 mid semesters and one end semester. If a student fails in any of them, they have to appear for that exam in the next odd/even semester.

A lot of companies visited the on campus for internship and they offered good stipend. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, etc MNCs visited the campus for internship opportunities. Most of the companies came for software developer role. The stipend ranged from 30000 to 1.5 Lakhs per month.

Students become eligible for placements form the 7th semester. An on campus drive starts in the month on August for the final year students where they can apply and have to go through different hiring process. A lot of companies visited the campus and the average package for computer science was 19.1 LPA. In CS/IT, 100% of the students got placed.

The fee here is almost same as that of any other NIT. 75000 per semester is the fees which is common for all the NITs. SC/ST students can avail scholarships provided by the government and other scholarships based on income in also provided. I got an internship of 30000/month.

Campus Life is good. There are two fests: Confluence (cultural fest) and TechSpardha (technical fest). Both are one of the biggest in the north india. Celebrities like Honey Singh, Aman Dhatarwal have been part of these fests. Sports facilities are also very good. Technical societies like Technobyte are also here.

Hostels are very good. They have good infrastructure and they have facilities like common room for table tennis, carrom, pool table and they have also sports facilities like volleyball and badminton court. The equipments are provided by the hostel. Food is average in taste and quality and various types of food items are provided. Hostels are provided randomly year wise.

You are only eligible to apply for this college if you have qualified JEE Main. The opening rank for general students for computer Engineering was 3500 and for OBC it was 7000. After getting the rank in JEE main you have apply on Josaa website for counselling which is a lengthy process and you have to wait for around 10 days. There are different rounds in the counselling and as per the applicants you get the brach you have opted for.
