The bad remarks about the college is here Co-education is not allowed.You are not provided non-vegeterian food in the mess.Otherwise it is a good college in terms of study.

Entrance Preview

I had given the paper for engineering entrances which includes WB-JEE,JEE Main And Advanced.I got landed up into this college through the criteria of jee main .There are so many scope for an engineering student and that made me to choose the course which i am doing.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was very good as i am learning Computer Science and engineering.Currently i am in first year of my college so there are no any kind of practicals.

Internships Opportunities

The college don't provide any kind of internship.Most of the student here prepare for GATE ,IES etc.But it faciliates summer training,industrial workshopetc.

Placement Experience

GKV is a government institution .The placement scenerio is quite bad.In last year 2016,30 percent of student got placed.The companies like TCS,ITC ,Toshiba etc. visited the campus.The average package is about 1.57 lac per annum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Overall the fee is sixty three thousand one hundred fifty for the first year.it was very feasible .The fee structure includes tuition waiver fee,hostel charge ,Mess charge etc.

The faculty is quite good here.They are very interactive.They help you in every kind of difficult situation.Some are highly qualified with degree of MBA,PGDM etc. Some of them have done Ph.d ,M.sc etc.On national level ,the methodolgy of teaching is good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

Life at Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya (GKV, Haridwar)

I choose this college because it is old esteemed deemed to be university. It is one of the oldest university in India with much good prestige in lists of college. It is internationally recognized good institution as stated by the government of India. It is NAAC accredated and also UGC funded university. It is purely boys college, no girls are allowed admission in this college. This institution is managed by the Arya Samaj with collaboration with the state government. It comes under GFTI. I got rejection from Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi. My JEE Mains rank was not as much as it was required to take admission into Delhi Technological University. I was not able to score better in my JEE Mains examination, so my JEE Mains rank was not sufficient to get a seat in this college.
