Likes
- There is no overcrowding in the college as the admission is done on the basis of JEE entrance exam.
- There is wifi facilities present in the campus, you can enjoy the wife facilities in labs as well as in classrooms.
- The college boasts strong Alumni and Faculty members and they are highly qualified and knowledgeable in their fields.
Dislikes
- Due to its location, the campus is very cold as the institute is in a cold area. In winters the temperature can go even less than 0 degree at nights.
- The ground condition is not good when the sports events are not going on. The grass is not cut timely.
- Some companies do not visit the college for placement as it is in a remote location.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I wanted to become a software engineer most specifically a Android Developer for my love towards Android applications. Since, the college was in my state itself, I opted for this college. The faculty:student ratio here is 10:1 which is quite good. The Director here is Dr B S Bisht. Most of the faculty members have either Masters, Doctorate or MS degrees in their fields. The teaching is quite good as you will expect from a private institute. The exams in my course are conducted semeser wise, difficulty level was between moderate and hard. But you can pass if you are a sincere student. Around 75% get pass in the exams while others get back in subjects. The faculty members although boast a strong alumni as most of the faculty members come from well reputed universities like BITS Pilani, even from University of Sussex.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of studying here per year is approx between 1 lakh - 1.5 lakhs excluding the Hostel fees. So, in approx 5-6 lakh rupees you can get your btech degree. Talking about the scholarship here, there are no scholarship given here however you can avail the National Scholarship which is given by the government. It is quite a affordable college compared it is a private institute.
Campus Life
The campus life is great here. Various Fest and events are organised here for example like the Technica, sports events, cultural events, Robotics events and much more. There are also Photographic clubs and Social media clubs present here in which you can enroll. Books are available in the library in a good amount, however you can issue max 6 books at a time. Sports are held here every year, students from other colleges also come here for inter zonal sports. The campus also have Gymnasium facillity. The BIAS Photography Club is the most famous club known for the Photographic Skills.
Admission
The admission in the college is done on the basis of JEE exam although it is a private institute. Once you got the desired rank of the college you can apply for the admission here although I have heard that Direct admission is also done but only if se of the seats are vacant. After giving the exam you to have to go through the councelling process which is conducted by the UTU. There are usually 3 rounds of councelling starting from the July month onwards. From my side the everything was ok ok in the admission process.
