Academic Education is very nice.That's why
Placement rate is very high so that's why I decided
I like the Kerala very much here therebare very more places to visit

Dislikes

Campus is not developed. Infrastructure is very old
Food has also don't much variety. Food is not from all different places
Girls and boys ratio is very low. Here state policitics is involved

Faculty members are very good and they are well qualified from the top colleges of india. Their skills are excellent. I have interest in chemicals so i choose the chemical branch. They teaches us very good

The placement rate of this college is very good and excellent. From third year onwards all students are eligible for placement. Around 98% placements rate for CSE and around 90% placements rate for chemical department

Fees and Financial Aid

Nit calicut offers many scholarships based on the financial condition and based on merit list. For kerala sc/st students the scholarship called egrantz. All companies offers many placements. All type of scholarships are offered by nit calicut

Campus Life

The campus life is good and excellent. The campus is around 300 acres. It has two grounds. All type of sports facilities are available in nit calicut. All type of clubs such as tech club and cultural clubs are also available in nit calicut.

Hostel Facilities

For first year students four seater rooms Available. Second year onwards we have options such as we can choose two seater and single seater room. Currently i am staying in B hostel this is for first student. Registration process for hostel is online through the app

Hostel Fee: INR 352000 per year

Admission

Admission process was fine. To get the admission in not calicut everyone need to crack the entrance exam called JEE. After getting the result the college should be alloted by josaa based on jee rank and their choice filling.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
