- The campus is very clean and green the atmosphere inside the campus gives the fresh vibes everytime the parks and the lawns are very well maintained and the main building or the thomson building looks like a tourist place to be true
- The course curriculum is also very good there is enough time you are getting to learn other skills apart from the technical skills that will help us to be expertised in particular field
- The IIT Roorkee campus is completely ragging free i would say the seniors are very good and supportive and the junior senior interaction is also very good my experience here in the campus is very good i would say
Dislikes
- There are very few things that i disliked in the college one of them is morning 8:00am class in the chilling winter seems like a nightmare
Course Curriculum Overview
So first of all I've choosen this course coz chemical engineering is a branch which provide you a liberty to spend your time in the skills you want to learn or you are interested in as the course curriculum is not very hard so you can excell in other fields also the faculty student ratio is very good almost 1:1 that includes Profs ,Tas faculty are very well renowned in their field most profs have degree from very renowned foreign institutes. Now here comes the exam part our semester is divided into two parts mid term and end term so there will be two exam takes place the exams are not very tough however they seems to be difficult as in hostel rooms you will probably be not getting enough time for the preparation
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of study in iits be like 12-15 lakhs for the four year btech course which is less then any other private institutes that are providing the same facilities but after applying scholarships and other financial assistance you can easily reduce your fees there are many scholarships that will be applied in your total fees if your family income is below 5 lakhs also you can become a Ta (Teaching assistant) for that you will be gettiNv a hood stipend in iit like tier1 institute
Campus Life
The campus life is quite amazing seems like the hardwork paid off there are several fest and events conducted throughout the year but the main cultural fest is Thomso and the main technical fest is cognizance and in these fest many events occur consecutively in the series of two to three days and in the library the books and research papers are available for all topics the classrooms are also well furnished with all the amenities required you can also take part in various sports and other co curricular activites there are seperate buildings in the college like sac student activity centre and also various clubs are there for co curriculars and mostly all the bodies are run by the student itselfs on the election basis' for the position of secretary and all
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very old styled and sometimes not well furnished however the accommodations prices is subsidised as compared to private pgs and all the mess food is average but hygiene is maintained and three course meal is provided breakfast lunch and dinner and the food is multi cuisine that suits the pallets of everyone
Admission
Hola guys, Hereby I'm describing my journey how I get into prestigious IIT Roorkee. So after class 10th I went to kota for the preparation and I worked hard there for two years after two years the wait is finally over for the entrance so basically there is two round of entrance examination to get into an IIT named JEE mains & JEE advanced the registration process for the both is very easy initially you have to go through an online form filling cum document verification after that you will get a unique id which is going to be your identity through out the course of entrance examinations and this form filling will be done online by the NTA and the jee mains examination is conducted by NTA and the JEE Advanced is conducted by IITs
