IITR- The Actual Best Choice

I chose this course because of my keen interest in subject chemistry but yeahh I know chemical engineering is more of mathematical physics but still I was fascinated by the structure student to faculty ratio is quite good maybe around 130:80 including all professors PhD students Qualification if faculty is world class they have all reached highest level many from foreign institutes with a great experience in chemical engineering field and their teaching is upto understanding sometimes it is difficult but overall it's appreciable. we have 2 exams in a single term that is mid sem and end sem and by my current experience they aren't difficult if you do all the assignments

the internship season starts at the end of second year by various companies through interviews and the stipend can go upto 1.5 lakhs a months and sometimes even less,many big companies comes to recruit and some of them even gives PPOs(pre placement offer) which makes the student free to sit in placement and enjoy rest of his college life Project are generally related to the domain you are working mostly people do tech nowadays so it can be a app or an website that you made to showcase your skills The internship percentage tends to be little less than placement percentage as many people aren't very serious in 2nd year itself so it becomes difficult to grab a internship in high competition

at the start of the 4th year the placement period starts and companies comes to hire BTech students and basic criteria is CGPA and it's limit is set by companies itself The exact no of companies varies every year but all the big companies comes to recruit no of offers made also varies based on no of students sitting for placements as some people also goes for higher studies the highest package for last year was 2.16 CR internationally and the average package was 16 lakhs per annum for tech recruits the percentage of students getting placed is always more than 90% out of the people sits in placement my plans is to experience the corporate world for 1 year and then prepare for GATE examination

The tuition fees is 100000 and it's constant not any hike the hostel cost is approx 40000, there are students loans available by different banks at minimum interest Scholarship are even available by many names some by private entities and government too. the most common is fee waiver for the families whose annual income is less than 500000, financial assistance can come in many forms Generally, the jobs are offered as Teaching Assistant for BTech students with does provide stipend but I have no data about it

the life at campus is very much happening, at any given time there is something going on in campus, the name of annual cultural fest is THOMSO and tech fest is COGNIZANCE they are roughly conducted in October and March respectively and they are so much interesting Library as we call MGCL is a big building with a lot of books journals updated on time and yess we can issue them whenever we want In classroom, all basic amenities are there and it's being cleaned at daily basis The sports facilities at IIT Roorkee are extra ordinary with best coaches and we'll equipments, you have absolute freedom to play any game without any discrimination Social groups ?? there are plenty of clubs in IITR you name it we have the club for it IITR is the only institute whose official website is runned by the student body

currently I live in a triple sharing room and each member is given a table chair, an almirah and a bed and all of them in good conditon, if any thing gets faulty we complain It and it gets resolve in very less time the mess provides us with meals 3 times a day, the quality is good for some and bad for some people overall I find it edible and can fill your stomach the menu is very nice and changes every week The registration for hostels is done on the same day the registration for college is done , it's not a complicated process but yess can get hectic due to many people present I have no idea if the locality provides rented rooms or PG

I gave JEE mains first attempt in January 2023, for that applications were open from 2nd January and I did online registration from home itself, I found the form on nta website itself I gathered all the documents required and filled it with caution at every step, for any updates keep checking the nta jee main website almost daily I availed OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) benefit to get into IIT with a caste certificate issued by state government after a certain date Improvement needed are that the Jossa has to be more punctual on their times for releasing round results
