- The departments are very good with highly qualified professors and the environment is too good from the academic point of view.
- The college life is just outstanding with many societies, clubs and many opportunities are there for enthusiastic peoples.
- The official works are done very quickly most of time in comparison to other colleges.
Dislikes
- The boy's hostel is under construction for more than 3 years now and is expected to be completed by 2026 and for the middle class family students its not very much affordable to live in PGs and flats.
- Many opportunities like the Research center is not easily accessible.
- Though the food of the canteen is very much affordable the taste is not up-to-the mark sometimes.
Course Curriculum Overview
According to NIRF, Hindu Colleoge is in the 2nd Ranking among all the colleges of India and its B.Sc.(H) Mathematics course very highly rated and the professors are very friendly and most of them guide you in every aspect of your academics. They highly appreciates your enthusiasm and often support you to avail the summer/winter research fellowships/internships. The department makes you feel like you are in home. All our profesors are highly qualified with Ph.D. degree and 10-12 years of experience on an average. Only end-term exams are held at the end of each semester and its not very tough to pass with a good CGPA if you are regular in your class and pay attention to the lectures.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee has been hiked after the implementation of NEP and its varies from college to college of DU and also varies according to your course. For my batch the admssion fee was 23100 rupee for the 1st year while as for the 2nd year it was 22645 rupee. Its obviously affects a large section of the society as for the past years DU was providing high-class education at a very nominal fee, however with hike of the fee it is not justifying its cause.
Campus Life
Mecca is the official fest of Hindu College, University of Delhi. It is the most famous fest in the whole Delhi University. In the year 2023, the fest held in the month of April(27-28th April) and more than 25000 students were present in the concert of Sunidhi Chouhan. The library has a great access to books,journals and e-books. A new library is under construction which is going to be a post of mile in the history of the college. Classrooms are equipped with projector,board and some rooms are equipped with AC as well as smart boards. There are many sports facilities like cricket field, football field, cricket net, indoor gymnesium, basketball court and volleyball court along with a large playground is there. Many societies are there like Manthan - The Quizzing Society, Vibre-Photography society, drama society, dance society, music society and many more, approx. 10+ societies are there.
Admission
Eligibility of the course: CUET Marks of Mathematics+One Language+Two Domain Subjects from B1 Application Form: First of all you have to register in the cuet.samarth.in and then you have to register for the Delhi University's counselling session. Application fees for CUET is available in the website and registration for DU Counselling is free of cost. Reservation: The cut-off for OBC-NCL is 10-15 marks less than that of General category in general.
