Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted this course because I have interest in this course. The faculty was awesome. Approximately 6 to 7 teachers were there in the department excluding the lab staff. The teachers were well qualified with awesome teaching skills. There were 6 semesters. In the first year there were 4 subjects 2 core subjects, AECC and GE. In the second year there were 5 subjects 3 core subjects, 2 SEC. In the 3rd year there were 4 subjects 2 core and 2 DSE.. The exams were conducted on time and not much difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

At DRC College, the placement cell works hard to offer great career and growth opportunities for students. They focus on bringing many reputed companies to the college, which helps in accelerating the students' career prospects. While there isn't specific information available about the names of companies and roles offered under internships or details about projects and outcomes, the general efforts of the placement cell suggest a proactive approach in facilitating internships and job opportunities for students.

Placement Experience

4.5

I didn't know much about the placement. I didn't join the placement cell so didn't know about the companies visited for placement. I have no plans for corporate jobs. I want to prepare for defense examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees was quite budget friendly. There is group of scholarship. The scholarship was provided by college to the economically weaker section students. Students can join the college scholarship group and from there they got all the required updates regarding different scholarship provided by both the government and college. I didn't opted for internship or campus placement. but my friend did internship and got good stipend to cover basic expenses.

Campus Life

5

So, life at Daulat Ram College was pretty awesome! We had this annual fest called "Manjari" – talk about crazy fun. But I couldn't get much of Fests as Half of my college life was eaten up by Covid! The library was my go-to spot with a ton of books and journals. Classrooms were cool, had all the fancy stuff for a comfy study sesh. Sports and extracurriculars were a big deal. From playing sports to diving into cultural events, there was always something going on. We had these clubs like the Literary Society and the Science Club – total game-changers. Students even ran some cool websites to keep us all connected. Looking back, DRC made college life more than just classes – it was a whole experience!

Admission

Previously, there was no entrance examination, but now it is being conducted. During my time, the cutoff was based on the 12th percentage. Admission process was easy..you can visit the Delhi University website for filling the application form and after that cutoff list were published on the official website.. Approximately 4 to 5 cutoff lists were published. Then We would have to visit the college in which we got selected and submit our documents for admission . Boom that's all.. Application fees was only 100Rs. I got reservation for OBC Category and Reservation process is smooth. No improvement needed as It was good enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
