Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I had an interest in computer science and engineering and the college also provides good facilities for learning new things and the faculty here are. Very friendly and they teach well and the faculty ratio is around 20:1 all the faculty are well qualified and did their Ph.D. from various IITs and NITs and our semester lasts for 4 months in which we have mid-semester at end of 2 months and quizzes in middle the grading here is relative grading and are solvable upto some extent if ur thorough with the concept they teach
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Microsoft, Flipkart, Walmart, and many companies offer stipends from the 2nd year and mainly focus on giving more opportunities for girls and offer a monthly internship and here we also publish many research papers.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, students get eligible for placements and you can take the internship exams which come to college right from the 3rd semester and many companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and many others. For companies visiting here the placement percentage is 92% highest package is 1.2 crore and the profile is HR and the average is 17.2 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no sudden hikes in fees if any will be informed much earlier and You can do summer internships which gives you exposure and helps you to learn new things we should be learning new things with the time
Campus Life
Here we have yuvaan which is a cultural fest and it's the biggest fest here in iiit GUWAHATI and it's held for 3 days here which is held in the month of February and March and the environment here is very pleasant far from the city and u can get ur daily essentials and we have technical fest called entropy held in November where we have workshops on robos and we can have a lot of knowledge from there and we get to hear from entrepreneurs about there ideas every book u need for ur academic purpose are available in library and some other books are also available based on your intrest the classrooms are very good and they are digital we have grounds for cricket,foot ball and volleyball and the code for badminton we have indoor sports like table tennis and chess and carroms and basket ball court is under construction there are many groups in which you can take part like dance , music,technical and there are many
Hostel Facilities
The newly constructed rooms are very good we get a bed and a study table with a chair and a fan a there is no issue with the facilities of room except in summer it's better to have a small table fan the menu is good in night and at Morning but u need to get adjusted for the lunch and we have rice and chapati every day and mess food is ok U can register for mess and hostel with ur academic registration
Admission
The admission process for IIIT GUWAHATI is through jee mains and the minimum percentile required to get admission in computer science and engineering is 98.2 for a general category student and if your an OBC or ews student you may get around 97.5 percentile and for SC it's around 90 percentile and for ST it's around 80 percentile and above mentioned you won't get any fee waiver for OBC or ews category and for SC category top 10 students in sc category get a full fee waiver and every st student get a full fee waiver.
