Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in electronics and communication since my childhood, that's why I took this course. For 50 students, there will be one faculty advisor. All the faculty members were well qualified. In a semester, we will have two exams, mid and end. We have to study very hard for pass marks.

Internships Opportunities

Many of the companies are coming for internship opportunities at national Institute of technology calicut. They will take interviews and offer internship with good stipend. Companies like Amazon, bajaj, oracke, accentute , etc.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies will come for software, and competition is also more for software side. Very few companies are coming for core, it is difficult to get placed in core.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees policy is based on income, students having more income have to pay more fee. Few scholarships are also there. We will get companies for placements. Very good companies will come for our college. The package is also good

Campus Life

Tech fest is tathva, cultural fest is ragam, and they will be celebrates every year. We have a big library, where every book will be available. We have blackboards, projectors, fans, lights, etc.in our calssrooms. We have almost all sports, clubs and everything

Hostel Facilities

A bed, table, chair, cupborad are provided in room. There will be a few messes, we can select any of the mess. Quality of the food is ok, but not that much. Menu is good. Recently we got an app for registration of hostels.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

I joined nitc through Jee Mains. Students who are studying intermediate second year can appear for this exam. Application will be available online. They will conduct exams. Reservation will be based on cast and EWS certificate.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
