Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty is very good in nit Calicut. They are well trained to give lectures for us. Studying here is one of the prestigious aspect in your life. There is no specific qualification for branch. You must get MPC well

Internships Opportunities

Internships are also provided by an app called genskill. All the companies are available in poll you can apply any company you want. Credentials are given by the campus itself. Internships starts from 3rd year onwards

Placement Experience

Placements are quite good at this college. Nearly 8lakhs per annum is the average package here for all branches. While it comes to ece branch. 13 lpa is the average package. Internships are also provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is approx 1.25 lakhs. If you have reservations the tution fee is removed . Only hostel fee has to be paid monthly. It is given through nitc hostels app. You may pay there that's it. Scholarships are also available such as ffa etc

Campus Life

The college life is extraordinary here. You will be excited to get graduated here. There are many 2 annual fests per year . One is cultural and other is technical Ragam is cultural and tathva is technical one.

Hostel Facilities

Regarding the hostels. Only mhb have the latest facilities. As it is new one. 1st years are given a,b hostels. 2nd and 3rd years were given mega hostels. Final year student with one person per room occupancy

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

The only way to the admission is through jee mains. You need to get 99 percentile to get ece branch. Rank is nearly from 9000 - 12000. Application for jee mains is obtained in nta official website you can apply there

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
