Campus is very beautiful and well maintained and also facilities are very good.
Good interaction with seniors for guidance and clubs are there for developing our interest in a field to our skill.
Students control most of the things happening in the college

Dislikes

More politics are involved regarding positions of responsibilities.
Mess food is like average considering taste. But it is nutritious
More corruption regarding funds allocated for student facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am just interested in Data Science and AI. Our batch size is 30 which is small. So faculty:Student ratio is pretty decent. Every faculty member have done post graduation in prestigious institutions. For every semester 2 main and 2 small exams are conducted.Though they may vary based on faculty member.

Class Size: 33Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Rubrix have offered internships to students of 5th and 6th semesters. Roles are Softare Developer, Data scientist,Machine learning engineer and many roles in core departments.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students are eligible for placements which is very complex process involving many rounds. many companies like rubrix,sprinklr,amazon, microsoft etc have visited and made offers for many students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a general student, so my fee is pretty high. But we can avail education loan from bank without any collateral. Many major banks like SBI,Canara are present within the campus which are ready to provide education loan without collateral for complete four years

Campus Life

Alcheringa-Annual cultural fest,conducted in Feb-March Techniche-Annual techfesr,conducte in August Very large library where most of requirements are satisfied Classrooms are very comfortable and equipped with best utilities. Almost every sport can be played with facilities campus has.

Hostel Facilities

A cubboard ,study table, fan, chair, and a cart are provided in room. Mess is somewhat average, mixed type of items from south and north are included along with fruits like banana,carrot and beetroot. Hostel is allocated randomly.

Hostel Fee: INR 32000 per year

Admission

I have written JEE mains through which I got eligibility to attempt JEE Advanced which is essential for getting admission into IITs. Application form and details can be found in official JEE Advanced website. Details of Jee Mains can be found in NTA website

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

I chose IIT Guwahati because of a strong IIT brand , excellent placements and comparetively lower fees. Compare to other IIT's it provied good campus expreience and less academic pressure. Compare to other NIT's , private colleges ,IIT Guwahati stands out in every fields. If one coudn't make it too higher IIT's it's because of not elegible after the JEE advanced rank as competition is very intense. Detailed and Unbiased Review

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
