Remarks

This is pretty average college charging a high amount to students and providing average facilities. If there is a chance that you are getting admission anywhere else then you should consider it very seriously. This should be your last option.

Entrance Preview

I got through UPESEAT which is a test conducted every once a year for aspirants. There are other modes also such as Board exams and JEE mode but you will have to select the mode of the entrance you are going for. Remeber Board and JEE will give you a scholarship and through UPESEAT you will get chances of admission very high. Then there will be counseling after the result of examination (UPESEAT) . Aspirants applying through non-examination mode( Board and JEE) will get counseling call first if they clear the cut offset by the college. After counseling you will be offered a seat in the University.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum in the CSE department is like any other CSE course you will get in additional colleges. The difference is normal CSE has 40 subs over 4yrs and this curriculum will give you 48 subjects over 4 yrs( 8 are for your specialization) . There are domain specific companies coming in the college but are very few. So, the point is you should equally focus on normal basic subjects along with specialization subjects. There are 2 minors and 2 majors which is a good thing but you will have to do it all by yourself. The mentors are not so much of help especially when you choose them after a week in the college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, in Computer Science the college does provide internship for the students who cannot get it by themselves but there will be no stipend but a high chance of getting a PPO( pre-placement offer) at the time. of internship. The internships are done after completion of 3 years and the next year is of placement week so if you get a PPO you can be tension free in the 4th year itself. Few companies to be named are Dell, IBM , Xebia, etc

Placement Experience

4

There are few companies for the core like Microsoft, IBM, Dell, Xebia, HCL, LTI infotech, etc with packages ranging from 3 LPA to 10 LPA but they select few students only. You will have to pursue your academics really seriously to be eligible to be sitting in these companies with a minimum of 65% as your overall CGPA. The rest student gets chance of placements in the BPOs which is not a good thing for a college where you are paying so heavily. Average package lies between 3.5 LPA to 5 LPA.

College Events

2.5

There two fests happening in the college every year apart from fresher's party. One is Ignite( Tech fest) and another one is urja( cultural fest). In urja you will see a large number of participation in the college because it is your only chance to wear your casual clothes in the college apart from fresher's party. The name of the celebs who come to the cultural fest is not big so don't expect a big name coming to the college very soon. Also, the tech fest is not much of a value and also it is not given much importance by the college which is very sad. The college also doesn't spend much on fests which it is spending on its advertisement.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very heavy and has to be paid every semester before the commencement of the semester. The odd year will have the same fee for both semesters and the even will be identical. The fees increase every year as you proceed through the course. At my point, I had paid 1,48,000 per sem for the last year. If you have heavy pockets and you are not getting selected anywhere then this is your place( if it's your last option).

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is available if you are applying through non-examination mode such as JEE and 12th boards marks which has a reservation of 10% seats in every course. The scholarship will be available for 1 year only and then you will have to pay the normal fee like other students. For the loan facility, I am not much aware of.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is usually dull because of not much development around the college area and there is no life after 7 Pm if you are living closer to the college. During the college hours, you can get yourself into a society according to your choice whether cultural. or technical and they organize activities regularly such as workshops, contests (fun and technical), dance lessons, etc. The ratio of boys is much higher than the girls . hostel parties are very rare. There is tolerance to every student diversity.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The campus hostel has few seats and usually, it gets filled until your counseling number comes. The campus hostel has good food but is largely distant from the main city which is true about college also. Its like in a remote area of the capital region of uttarakhand and tata magic is your only way to the city. There are private hostels who charge 1.5 lakhs per year for 1 bed and includes accommodation, food, power backup, transportation.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and they will try to help you if you just reach out to them. No one will be unavailable to help. You can just go and talk to your seniors with respect and get any doubt cleared about everything in the college. The alumni parties happen in every city every year and students are well connected to themselves. There is hardly any concept of ragging in the campus.

Admission

Online form is available through the website of college. Then en examination will be held and you will get the rank according to how well you performed in the examination. Remember, if you have 350 candidates securing the same marks then they will be sorted according to their PCM percentage and the next rank after 1 will be 351. Then you will get call letter for counselling where you will go and get intro about each branch and then will select as per your choice. There will be centralised counselling happening all over the India and you will be able to see which branch has how many seats. Then you will be called according to your rank and will get the branch of your choice if it is not full. There is also provision of wait list for your desired branch if it is not available at that time. If waiting is not cleared then your money will not be refunded and you will get a second preference of any other branch. If that also you will not select you may withdraw your money but I am not so sure about that. Check again with the college policy for the wait list system. Then you will get admitted after depositing the DD.

Faculty

3

The faculty has great qualifications but there are new bees coming which should be a concern for management as they are not experienced enough or haven't taught before in a college. Therefore, its all on your luck. The specialized courses also are getting faculties who have none experience in the industry or ever taught the subject before. Don't expect a high-quality faculty as it is not there.

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
