Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as it is one of the oldest branches in Thapar . Moreover computer technology is increasing and there are many placement opportunities in this branch . Faculty is very good and highly qualified.

Internships Opportunities

As I am in first year I don't know about it . But as heard from seniors it is really good . In fact in last sem every one has to do a six month internship semester . Many start ups come and give internships .

From 6 th semester students are eligible for placements . Dshaw , Microsoft , Blackrock, Deloitte, American Express , Amazon , Google type big Mncs visits Thapar for placement . 70-80percent students gets placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Thapar is one of the most expensive colleges in India with annual fees of about 7-8 lac rupees . There is a scholarship opportunity if u r in top 10 percent of the students in your respective branches .

Campus Life

Campus life here is very good . There are more than 50 societies that you can join and learn and interact with seniors and make friends. There is all types of sports facilities . Library here is the main center of attraction .

Hostel Facilities

Hostels in Thapar are really amazing . Like a five star hotel . Clean washrooms . Mess food is really good that you don't need to eat food outside . Ac are there . Room is cleaned everyday. And hostel faculty is also very good

I got my admission through jee mains under Punjab quota. Admission can also be done through board exam marks . There is 50 percent Punjab state quota. I got computer engineering branch with 55000 rank in jee mains . But the cutoff was around 95 k

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

Good College, Placement and Great Infrastructure and Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. inside campus walls

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
