- The social life is great and there are alot of events happening from time to time

- The labs and other facilities are of very nice level

- The mess timings are quite uncomfortable
- The food at the mess is not so good many of the times
- Sometimes the teachers are not good and not encouraging
Course Curriculum Overview
I have been always interested in coding and computer engineering. Thapar has a good faculty to student ratio There are many teachers and almost all of them are very helpful and knowledgeable Term exams are after 1.5 months and are of medium difficulty
Internships Opportunities
Companies like jp Morgan ,apple,Google and even Facebook etc offer internships at thapar . Tata offers a number of internships at thapar for the students of civil and mechanical branch. Their stipends range from 0 to even over 60k
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester students start getting placed and internships are available to students from any semester. Many companies like jp Morgan ,Google,tcs and even apple visit the campus . Generally about 80% of the students get placed and the highest CTC offered was of 65 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees increases by 5-10 percent per year and ofcourse the fees is quite high at thapar . Scholarships are available for top students . It is given branch wise and top 10% students of each branch are awarded with scholarships ranging from total fees and hostel fees to just half of the tution fees
Campus Life
Social life at thapar is very nice and happening. The main annual fest is saturnalian .it is conducted in the month of November each year and honestly it was the best fest ever. Every year a big singer comes for the concert and it is very fun. Infrastructure is also very nice There is nava Nalanda library which is one of the biggest libraries in the world and plenty of books are available. Sports at thapar is also quite extensive and there are alot of courts,grounds and facilities to play. Urja is a club which is run by students
Hostel Facilities
I am in a 2 seater room . There is a bed , a fairly sized almirah , an AC and a study table with a chair . The room is not so big . The mess is not so good not so bad, it depends on the day ,sometimes though we have to order food because the food at mess is not so good sometimes. The snacks menu at mess should also be increased. The mess is run by sodexo
Admission
I applied on the basis of my jee score. For my course the cutoff of jee percentile for non Punjab residency was 94.2 percentile which is equivalent to approximately 65000 rank Reservations are for Punjab residents and and obcs and sts
