Good university for B.Tech computer science.

There was no entrance exam I got direct admission on the basis of my JEE Main Rank and Class 12th Marks. There was a counseling during the admission in which we chose our preferences for courses and then we were allotted those courses.

The course curriculum is well laid out and there are both practical and theory classes . The faculty follows a set syllabus in all subjects. There is also industry exposure given by our faculty members. They help our students in research paperwork too.

The college does provide certain summer training programs under companies that are running under the technology business incubator in the college. But those internships are sub-par.

80-90% of students were placed in my senior batch in various companies. 5 LPA was the highest salary offered. 2.4 LPA was the lowest salary offered. 3.4 LPA was the average salary offered. Mainly, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, Cognizant, etc. visited the campus. About 80% students got a training offer from the college in various companies.

The college fest, that is the Grafest, is the largest in Uttrakhand technical-cultural cum managerial fest which helps students learn management skills as the fest is completely organised by the students. There are great celebrity nights with Jillionare(2018) ,Farhan Akhtar (2017), Amit Trivedi (2016), Edward Maya (2016), Raftaar (2016), Arijit Singh, and much more every year.

Yes The college provides a scholarship to meritorious students and the scholarship will initially be given on the basis of your Joint Entrance Exam mains rank or 12th marks and the scholarship in subsequent semesters will be given on basis of performance in semester exams.

The campus life is very good. There is no ragging or anything like that. Students come from diverse communities and some students are from different countries too. Men and Women hostels are separate and no discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics, and economic status.

The Hostel facilities are good but however, you will get sub-par food in mess and most people who have the budget will try to eat outside instead. The average pg rentals will be around 6000 for a single room. The rent may be more and it completely depends upon your living standards.

There is a strong alumni network and they come to give talks and conduct workshops frequently. There is an alumni portal also and every year there is alumni meet.

There are two sets of exams per semester, midterms and end terms. Both practical and Theory exams are conducted and equal emphasis is laid on both practical as well as theory. There are frequent labs and attendance is mandatory. It is also required to pass in both end semester exam as well as mid-semester exam for practical exams

The faculty team was helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The university rules are strict and if you have a real passion for anything, the faculty team is very helpful. They use projectors to teach efficiently. The course curriculum was useful as we are taught placement-wise.
