Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The reason of chossing Electrical Engineering is the broader scope that an IITian get being a student of circuital branch. We are eligible for going into tech as well as core field after our graduation in Electrical Engineering. Reasearch opportunities are also available to us. Taking of the curriculum , its a little bit of outdated course that our batch is studing, but to be happy, our courses are updated which are applicable from our junior batch onwards, the renewed course is really very updated and is fit to the requirement of mordern world. The course includes not only the subjects of Electrical Engineering but also contains a lot things including ML, Data Science ,DSA, which are very useful in the inductries today. Out exams are conducted twice iin every semester. Semester is roughly of 4 months.

Internships Opportunities

5

A lot of companies used to visit our campus for internship opportunies . They come in the 5th semester as weel as 6th semester. SOme of the companies are Sprinklr (2lacs), Microsoft (1.1lacs), Google (1.25 lacks), BCG(1.5lacs) ,Zepto (1lacs) , JLR (80k) etc. Since I am in second year so I didint have any internship experience. But here are some details of companies that come to our campus withere per month stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus Placements are far better in IITR than other colleges. Top companies like Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments and a lot companis used to visit our campus and offer good placement opportunities. Average package of around 25-30 lacs are observed during the campus placements. Around 800-1000 students get placed every year out of a batch of 1300. Rest students who are interested in their own startup or other things dont go for placements. Students of 4th year sit in placements. placement process start around September of every year and ends around february. Placemnet is overy on a positive side,. All serious students who had prepared for placements get placed somewhere. Some might not get there dream one, but they had a offer.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for general category students is reallly too high. But our institute provides fees waiver for other needy students , as also during admission the EWS student used to get extra benefits. There are a lot of scholarships that are available to ecenomical poor students and backward students. Like students who belongs to reserved categories are waived their tution fees which reduces their fees to around 30% of the overall fees.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is the best in IITR. The lush green campus full of pure air is very charming and pleasant. Our campus is a small campus of 350 acres but is completely safe 24/7. Students are free to move any time anywhere in the campus, in the night too. There are a lot of common areas, canteens for time pass. We have our central library that is open 16 hours every day and in exam time, it is open for 24 hours. Fests are considered to be the best here. Our Techincal Fest Cognizance considered to be the second largest technical fest of India is conducted in March where a lot of technical exhibitions and competions are conducted. Our cultural fest Thomso is conducted in October which includes Pro-Nights and a lot of fun. Big celebrities like Arman Mallick, Sonu Nigam and darshan raval are our past performers here. Classrooms are highly equiped with smart boards and projector which enhances the level of teaching. Clubs and Societies are an integral part of our campus. Lot of clubs are there.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are a little bit poor at this time in IITR. But new hostels are under constructions so its not a point of worry. Talking of my experience , in our 1st year we have triple sharing rooms, but also some students have got single and double rooms also. In second year all students have got double sharing rooms. And from next year onwards we will be geting single sharing rooms. Mess food is OK, not that much bad as peaple use to say about "Hostel ka Khanna" . Its eatable easily, like around 3-4 days a weeks we get good dishes to eat, but some day meals are bad. But we have our canteens which are open 24/7. There are canteens in every hostels. Also a lot of resturants are there in and around the campus.

Admission

The admission process need qualifing JEE Advance Exam. One needs to clear the minimum cutoff in the JEE Advance exam based on his/her category. The application form and all details for this exam is available on the JEE Advance Website. This exam is conducted around June every year . Now talking of reservation, although I didn't availed the benefits of these, but there is a good opportunies for the backward classes to get into this reputed college. The Jee exam was conducted on a tougher side and It is also considered as the most toughest exam in India today. The admission is based on the performance in JEE exam. Based on the rank we score, we get into collage according to that. There was a complete counselling process conducted by JOSAA for alloting the seats in all IITs. The Admission process is quite satisfactory.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITB] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Chemical Engineering)

I thought that Electrical Engineering provides a greater scope to this world. Being an Electrical Engineer can give one the opportunity to move forward in both core and software field. Also a circuital branch has an edge over other branches..

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
