NIT SILCHAR- A INTERESTING JOURNEY.

My course is B-TECH in ELECTRONICS and COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. My main reason to chose this course was due the sum of both the coding and core part which is very relevent combination. We are being introduced to the real life gadgets through the tech fests and labs specially. No any major improvement is needed in course curriculum but there are hectic schedule of theory classes , i think that should be lesser. I think exams are conducted beautifully and on time. level of exams are quite difficult but not out of syllabus.

Microsoft,Delloite, Maruti suzuki, JCB, Reliance, Amazon,etc. are some major companies who provides the internship. students prepares their projects by the help of the concern faculty which help them to do better.

Placement stats are quite good in our college. From 7th semester onwards, students are eligible to sit in the campus placement. Highest ever package given is 80 LACS per annum and average package is 14.4 lacs per annum. 89.40% students get placement every year. My plans after getting my degree is to do the start up.

Increment in fees are almost negligible or rates are minimal. College also provides scholarships based on the economy and reservation. And many other scholarships are available on the basis of different backgrounds such as FFE, NSP, etc. Your respective government or private banks also provides interest free loans for the students. i have not taken any campus employments.

There are two main fests hosted by the colleges usually one tech fests named as TECHNOESIS and another cultural fests named as INCANDASCENES. College also hosts another festivals on different eve on the basis of religion, cultures, national integration like this year my college hosted Y20 CONCLAVE, it was really a great experience. We are provided with one of the largest digital library in the world. We have online accesseblity of the course curriculum of some best universities in world. we are provided the best journals of every field. NIT SILCHAR also print their own journal anually. we are falicitated with smart classrooms having projectors and smart dias. Almost Every indoor and outdoor games are played here. To encourage the players respective branch clubs organise the tournaments of different games and interhostel tpornaments are also held anually. There are many clubs and organisations having diverse field where you can explore out your interests.

We have quite good hostel facilitities. almost 24hrs electricity and lans. Two students live per room having one fan, one tube light , one night light, two separate beds and balcony. Meals are average in the hostel. There is the scope of improvement in meal. Registration for the hostel is quite easy as you are already registered while registering for the course if you are not opted out fot hostel.

Eligiblity of the course is 1.You should be 12th pass with 75% or top 20 percentile of your respective board.(for obc student). 2. You can apply for the exam upto 3 attempts. You can find application from on the NTA (NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY) official website. Application fees are different according to your reservation benifits. Dates and every details regarding the JEE MAIN EXAMINATION will be updated on the official website atleast 1 month prior than examination. Since, NITs are government colleges, so you do have the reservation benifits. There are fixed criterion set by the respected authorities according to the government policy. JEE MAINS examination is conducted twice a year and gap between both shifts are quite good to prepare. But one should focus on the first shift as there may be more percentile in less marks than second shifts. Difficulty of examination is medium level and based on NCERT. Admission process should be totally online .
