Remarks
The only bad part is placements, rest everything is good in our college or maybe better than other colleges but placement is such a crucial part and being so many good student i believe we didnt get the opportunity to showcase our skill
Entrance Preview
I scored 95% in boards for 12th class by CBSE. I was a student of Sadhu vaswani int school for girls and was looking for an economics hons course for my graduation
Course Curriculum Overview
Economics hons. is a specialization course and focuses on different areas. In my three year course duration i studied the following subjects, calcular, statistics, micro and macroeconomics, language courses which were changed every sem, indian economic development, econometrics, development theory etc
Internships Opportunities
No there are no internships provided by our college. However, you can find one on your own through contacts but there are no internships provided for economics student. For bcom students there was an internship fair that used to happen
College Events
For our economics society there were a lot of events that used to happen like a seminar for 3 days where people used to come and speak and share knowledge. There was an annual fest that used to happen and every department help their own stalls and fairs. There were a lot of competitions also to take part and enjoy
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for our college is bit expensive than the rest of the DU colleges. We gave around 10,000 to 15,000 INR every year but as our college is fully air conditioned and the quality is way better, its all worth it. So i think a total of 30,000 for all three years which is quite less if we see the fee structure for private universities
Fees and Financial Aid
No idea about loan facility or scholarship offered by my college. I think DU doesnt offer scholarships as the fee structure is already so less. Maybe for financially poor people they do
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing, specially if you are in north campus you would have a time of your life in those 3 years! I enjoyed a lot. Gender ratio is almost equal and since our college is a sikh college there is not much diversity that we saw. Labs and sports ground are good. There is a gym too in the college and competitions are also held every year to showcase your talent
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students were really helpful. Our college used to conduct meetings where alumini came and helped us with our problems. They helped us with the society issues and also helped us with placements and exams
Exam Structure
It’s very chilled out. You have to give your internals in the duration of 2 months that keep happening during your course. The main exams are after every 6 months i.e. in the month of May and november. But over all the exams are really chill and there is not much pressure. You also get enough holidays in between your exams so that you have plenty of time to prepare
Admission
I wanted to do economics hons and the cut off was around 97%, i got 95% in my boards and with sikh quota i got 2% extra. The admission process was really smooth. I went to the college in the first cut off list and got through with my admission process. It took us around 2-3 hour and my admission was done
Faculty
The faculty was really good and experienced. All of them were either phd scholars or masters degree holder. I loved how they explained everything to us and cleared our concepts it we faced any problems. Even the Principal of our college was an Economics graduate so he helped us too.
