Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well paced. We are given good knowledge of the subject with passing time. The syllabus is divided in such a way that we understand all the concepts and the topics easily. Also there are good amount of practicals that help the students to apply the academic knowledge in the real world. The labs here are very good and have all the equipment. Students do not face any problem while doing the practicals. The only suggestion regarding the teaching methods is that the teacher should interact with the students than they actually do. Exams happen twice a semester and the semester is 5 months long.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies which come for internship. We can apply for either work from home or physical intern based on the requirements. Students can get paid internship or they can also do unpaid to gain experience.
Placement Experience
The students become available for placement from seventh semester till the end od eighth semester. Decent amount of companies come to the campus for placement. Both technical and core companies come to the campus. The average package of all the companies is 7-8 lakhs. Also most of the students are placed and some prepare for civil services or other jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees for general is 75000 per semester. Fee waiver is given to students based on their category or annual income of their family. Like the students whose parents earn 1-5 lakhs per annum, have fees of 32000 and the students whose parents earn less than 1 lakh have fees of 13500. And the students whose parents earn more than 5 lakh per annum have fees 75000. Also the hostel fees is same for all i.e. 35000. Students can get several scholarships too if they are eligible.
Campus Life
The campus life here very lively. Many events happen throughout the year. During odd semester the cultural fest of college i.e. Hiilafair takes place. Many artists and students perform during this 3 day event. Also during even semester the technical fest of the college i.e Nimbus takes place. Also the classrooms have good availability of network and projectors for teaching. Also there are many clubs which students can join according to their interests.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is quite good. There is always availability of water and electricity. A table and a chair is provided to all rooms. There is triplets in first, second and third year and a singlet room is given to final year students. Also the mess food has a lot of variety and good. The locality is also nice for taking pg
Admission
Application form can be filled online through the offficial site of national testing agency. Any student who had done his 12th class from non medical background is eligible for this examination. The application fees of this examination is affordable. The application dates for this exam is generally opened during September and exam is conducted in january. It contains questions related to physics, chemistry and maths. The name of the exam is JEE Mains and it is one of the toughest exams in India. The only thing I didn't like is that there is reservation quota for homestate.
