I really liked the campus as it live up to its name as one of the most beautiful NITs
I liked the faculty under which I got to learn so much and do project.
I liked the overall facilities and for sure am gonna miss all this.

Dislikes

Hostel in-timings 9 pm is tooo early for real
I hated the 75 percent attendance rule like c'mon man.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well its a pretty impressive coure dealing with a mixture of chemistry and physics. And for the real wold applications we have tons of labs where we learn to perform practical applications of what we have studied in our course and I think the course is well maintained and don't need that much of improvement but I think practical labs can be upgraded a little. Timing of exams and difficulty level is too easy you just need one night study session to pass with good marks.

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 13500 per year

Placement Experience

Form 7th sem they become eligible for campus placement. There are many big names in company list like Welsfargo, honda, mahindra JSW , hiremi etc. highest this year I would say 32lpa and for avg I would go with 12 lpa. Placement percentage of over-all students is quite good it is aprox 65 percent this year. I also plan to do job after for some time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well fees is quite affordable as it is divided in sections as per the categories and annual income of the students family and they are divided well and are pretty affordable. As for the scholarships I haven't taken one so I don't know much in that case but there are some available for students and you can go and talk in the department about it as they are super supportive and helpfull. As for employment I have done intern from a private company while some of my friends went to IITs and employment rate is also average.

Campus Life

Overall my college life was a great success as I met amazing people throughout this journey. And we had great fun at both cultural(Hillfair) held in fall and technical fest(Nimbus) in springs. We also had fun reading different books due to the wide variety of books available in college library. And those electic classrooms are great fun they make classes more fun and interesting.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel life is good , and it is way better with facilities provided. Rooms are of reasonable size with proper electric sockets and fans as we don't need ACs here in mountains. Mess food was also good. Hostel registration is also easy as it is all online and you don't have to do much for it.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

The admission process is quite simple and easy. As for applying for a seat in NITs or IITs you have to give JEE exam whis is conducted by NTA whis is a prestigious organisation so there isn't that much jush to it. You can just apply to it via online mode on there website. And they conduct this exam twice a year in february and April respectively. I think areas they need to improve a bit is post exam document submission process

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation. The admission was done by josaa. The admission process was easy. Simply go to their online portal and submit details and required documents. NIT Hamirpur offers more than 30 programmes at UG, PG and doctoral level. Candidates seeking admission to any of these courses must appear for the respective entrance exam and qualify its cutoff. NIT Hamirpur offers a four-year BTech programme across nine specialisations in full-time mode. The selection of candidates to NIT Hamirpurs BTech programme is based on their JEE Main score. The centralised counselling process is managed and regulated by the JoSAA, based on which the candidates are allotted seats.
