Likes

Fest and events are very good and it is very good 1st year students
Studies should be done properly otherwise back is also common
Sports is also provided with almost all the facility.

Dislikes

Only focuses on studies and not much on extracurricular
Placement is not up to the mark and many of them are even not placed
Girls to boys ratio is very poor in this college .

Course Curriculum Overview

This is the state government college. So if you are not financially very strong you can get admission in this university. The curriculum is moderately strict with 85% attendence. Labs are good and knowledge of teacher is very good.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are necessary at every odd semesters. In near there are various companies like TATA , Britannia,Ashok Leyland.They even offer placement very high and also the pre placement offer is given to some students

If you are thinking that placement would be very high than I think you are at wrong path. Mechanical Engineering is best if you want placement as compared to the other branches of the college. Agricultural Engineering has also wide scope in this college

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is around 60,000 per semester. The scholarship is only given to reserved categories. University scholarship is provided basis on the financial statement of the family members. The mess food bill is 20,000.

Campus Life

COLLOSSEUM is the national level cultural event which takes place every year. SPARDHA is the national-level sports fest which occurs frequently. Overall the life of college is interesting and funny along with the pressure of studies.

Hostel Facilities

In first year 3 shared room In second 2 shared room Third & fourth year is single owned. Mess quality is up to mark and the washroom are cleaned twice a week. A fan is provided and a chair a table is provided

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

Admission process on the basis of jee mains rank. The reservation is of 85% for the people having domicile of Uttrakhand.The admission details will be given the official website of the university.

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

From the 7th semester you can sit on the placement drives.. Multiple companies visited like accenture,adobe,tcs etc. The percentage is little bit low this year..i have not much knowledge about it right now. I will try to get a good job.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.
