Remarks

According to me, my college is very good in every way and it's progressing day by day becoming one of the premier institutes for commerce in India. The management of our college is also very good. Our principal is the chief motivator who motivates us in every path.

Entrance Preview

Currently, I m pursuing Geography Hons from this college and this college is one of the best colleges in DU for this course and also the campus life is very good. Department of geography is equipped with all the necessary materials and also this college gives exposure to students to participate in other activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is semester based. In my course, there are two more papers, one generic elective paper and one additional subject like English or EVS. The marking of each paper as of now comprises of both internal marks by the college and the university examination marks. My course is a practical course.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provide internship to the students and for this, our college has an internship cell named ENCODE which provides students with varied internships. The general stipend is 5000-10000/month and it may vary depending on the performance of the interns. I myself have done an internship and the overall experience is very nice. It helps us to learn different things and helps to develop ourselves.

College Events

4

There are a huge no of events in our college such as- 1. Annual cultural fest of SBSC-This year we have the fest and celebrity's come here to make students enjoy and rock the stage. Several students from other colleges also participate in it. 2.Annual fest of each department such as for our department we conduct Vasundhara every year. 3.Chunauti-Annual fest of Ncc of our college. 4. We have annual fest for each society our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. It is not expensive. For my course, the fee was 7k approximately and other courses have fees less than it. My course is a practical subject that's why it is more as compared to another. A student can easily submit their fees online.

Fees and Financial Aid

it's not available any scholarships or loan facility from my college. But yes I do know that our college provides a scholarship to students and scholarship award is also given to meritorious students. Our college also issues laptops to students for free which is refundable.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is amazing and our campus is very eco-friendly. The gender ratio is fairly nice. Our college has maths labs, remote sensing and gis lab etc. Several extracurricular activities are conducted by our college from time to time and by this the students get exposure.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Our college doesn't provide hostel facilities for the students but there are many PGs nearby where students can accommodate. The mess food our college is good and it's neither too expensive nor too cheap. The quality of food is good. Our college mess also provides a small meal for students.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni of our college include Siddharth Malhotra, Bhuvan Bam , Shoojit Sircar etc.The senior students are very well recruited in good positions in several companies. We have also several civil servants from our college such as IAS etc.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very friendly for the students. It is semester based and as mentioned earlier the exam marks comprise of both internal and University exam marks. As of now we have exams on Nov-Dec and May-June for 1st and 2nd semester respectively.

Admission

I m a student of science background so for it as per the rules of admission , 2.5% is deducted from the best four aggregate percentages for change of stream. Mine best four was 94.5 % which came to be 92 % due to deduction so I got admission in 3rd cutoff in this college. For admission , student need to bring with them all the required documents with originals. Admission is purely merit based and if student meets the cutoff percentages , then he/she can directly come and take admission here after getting their documents verified.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my college is very good. The teachers are very knowledgeable and they are very friendly with the students. They at their best maintain the teacher and the taught relationship. They not just teach us about the course but they also teach us life. The faculty help students are every possible way.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
