An Honest Review on PMEC, Berhampur

The course curriculum of our college is quite good. In fact PMEC college is considered to be the most strict college of colleges which comes under Odisha Government. PMEC college always maintains its rules and regulations. there is a seoparate hostel for 1st year students so there is no chance for any type of ragging issues. And College has a Disciplinary Commitee which punishes the students who break rules so there no chances of indiscipline. Teachers on the other hand are very supportive and cooperative. They will encourage you strive for excellence and to start preparation for GATE exam. All the Laboratories are well equipped and have all the equipments in best conditions. The behaviours of the teachers and lab assistants is very good and if youn are interested then then will not step back to goive you more informations. Now it depends on you that how quickly you adopt this college. If you are a gym freak then PMEC college also has a gym and a very big playground along with a cafe.

Companies provides interships to students such as Amazon, TCS, Delloite. Even Government organisations also provides internships to our college students such as DRDO, RAW and all. If you have the calliber to do this works then it can play a great work in filling your resume.

Placement in our college is not that good. Even we can say that the placement is below expectations. The average pavckage is only 350000 per annum. Mechanical has the highest no of recruiters while circuit branches have the least number of recruitrers.

In PMEC college the yearly fees is 35000 rupees which is the lowest than any college in Odisha. Along with this PMEC college also provide decent hostel facilities with affordable fees with is 17000 rupees for mess fees and 13360 for accomodation fees. Tuition Fees increase here every 3 years with minimum rate of hikes. If yoiu are a meritorious student then you can avail many scholarships which college provide us such as E-Medhabruti, Post-Matric, Kalia Jojana scholarships and each and every scholarships that government provide us. During B.tech no stipend is awardecd top students but during M.Tech a decent amount is given to students as stipends.You can contribute effieciently to the betterment of the college by giving your dedication and time. After entering this college you will face the Induction program which generally every college held and during this program you will realise that what all are their in PMEC college. Overall you will not regret taking admission in this PMEC.

PMEC College is not only good in Academics but also in helding the best Cultural Fest in the whole District. During April PMEC organise its greatest Cultural Fest 'The Exuberance' which is most famous in the whole district. also PMEC organise many Tech Fest in which all the colleges including IIT BBSR and NITR alo takes part. PMEC has many clubs such as for Robotics, Singing and dancing, Acting and many more are there. College also organise many Sports fest in which all colleges take part.

PMEC provides you hostel which has a capacity of 3 students during 1st year. College has a separate hostel for 1st year students tro prevent ragging and all. The yearly fees of accomodation in Hostel is 13360 rupees and for mess the fees is 17000 rupees yearly. The meal that is provided here is decent. You will be provided with 4 days of non veg in a week and 3 days of veg. Overall hostel facilities are decent.

After giving my Joint entrance examinations i scored a rank of 180000. Then I appled for technical colleges at OJEE website. Because all colleges under Odisha Government can be taken admission under OJEE counselling. After the conselling process was over I got the message from the respective college to come to college on a desired date for admission and before that you have to pay the hostel fees, mess fees and college yearly fees and submit the receipts at the college on the admission date. After completing all the procedures i was finally admitted to this college. and past 1 month i was given my hostelo room and aftyer that my classes were started. If you belong to amy backward classes thenm you can avail many facilities at the college that are being provided by the college including total deduction of hostel fees. College even provides you with many scholarship oppurtunities which you can easily avail if you are a meritorious student. Overall PMEC is a good college by studies POV.
