Odd semesters have 5 subjects and even semesters have 6 subjects 1st year in CSE has no branch subjects and only core subjects- physics, chemistry, maths, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical workshop, physics lab, chemistry lab, civil engineering workshop, communicative English lab, basic electronics, basic electrical. Except in second semester, programming in C is introduced. In third semester, subjects like Digital Logic Design, Discrete mathematics, Engineering Economics, Java Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms will be introduced In the fourth semester, subjects like Organizational behavior, Digital Signal Processing, Computer Organization and Architecture, Design and analysis of algorithms, Python lab, and Discrete mathematics are introduced. An optional choice is provided between Data Communication and PPL (Principles of Programming Languages). In the third year, more advanced subjects like data science, machine learning etc. are introduced.

Internships ranging from 2 days to 1 week in offline mode and 1 or 2 month course in online mode are preferred. College does not provide any internship opportunities and only performs and Internship evaluation in even semesters. Internshala, Udemy are the most preferred websites

Students become eligible for placement in campus after 7th semester placement facilities are offered starting from 1.5 lpa upto 5.5 lpa. Companies like Tata, Divami,.... Attend the recruitment process To avail placements in international companies like Microsoft Google Amazon you have to go to attend the placement carried out at Biju Patnaik University of technology situated in Bhubaneswar. Parala Maharaja engineering college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University in its course structure Around 30- 40% students of the college get placements annually. Students can also appear for GATE after graduation from b.tech or May appear exams to avail post graduation facility for MTech in the college itself

Tution fees are 27,400/- per year. It includes basic lab facilities and library facilities. Transport fees are privately owned by the CSE branch and cost 16,700 per year. Complete cost of education of 4 years is 1.04 lacs. Addition of hostel fees 37,360 accounting for accommodation and canteen food will amount the total to 1.41 lacs. Financial services like scholarships equal to complete cost of education are provided under Kalia Scheme. Other Scholarships are available like Medhabruti jojana for girls, Post Matrix Scholarship and Odisha state scholarship are available. Proper guidance by the staff is provided for proceeding in application. Kalia Scheme avails upto 77,895/- per year for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/GENERAL. POST matric Scheme avails upto 50000/- per year for SC/ST/OBC MEDHABRUTI scheme avails upto 30000/- per year for UG/PG and technical courses.

Branch fests are held out once in a year, following which the Annual techfest is held around the month of March and April. Technical Workshops are also organised with leading tech industries and placements upto 5.5 lpa are guaranteed. Branch sports(Arena) and inter college sports event(Shaurya) are organized around the end of the year. Clubs hold various events during techfest, sports and events of national importance. Cyber Security awareness campaigns and Cultural fests are carried out throughout the year. The campus is full of greenery, and Parala Maharaja Engineering College is well known for its work in plantation and flower gardens. The NCC club regularly carries out social activities in rural areas. Robotics, Cadence(music and dance), Imagics(art club), Heritage Club (culture), Mo Startup club, and CDD(Code, Design, Development)Club are other well known clubs. Classrooms are spacious and well equipped with lights and fans, digital boards, and chalk boards.

The cutoff is quite flexible in my branch(around 200000 in JEE for CSE branch), and an on-ground selection is also available after 3 rounds of selection in online mode. Admission process is carried out on-ground and you have to carry hard copies of your personal documents as advised in the WhatsApp group on the specified date. Online application is available, and on being selected the management will add you to the admission group on WhatsApp. In a semester, we have 2 surprise tests, 2 quiz tests, a lab test and viva, 2 internals(all of 1 hr), and finally a semester exam(3 hrs). Reservation benefits allow flexibility in cutoff upto 1000000 in JEE. Scholarships one can get here are under Medhabruti Jojana, Kalia Jojana, and nearly free education for high rank as well as under reservation.
