RIT is the Place for Engineering

If you want to study culture around you and you actually want to learn things, RIT is the place for you. RIT for me is the true meaning of engineering.

When i was looking for colleges i was searching colleges on the different website. Websites like collegedunia, collegesearch, justdial etc were giving very good feedback about RIT. I further searched for details about the college and I found the college history is very good.

RIT follows the subjects according to the Uttarakhand Technical University curriculum. The subjects we studied were very helpful to us. I was a software engineer feels that the subjects I studied were the ones which are going to help me for the rest of my life.

Yes, RIT provides internships to those students who do not have any backlog in previous semesters. There is no stipend from the college side.

Placements are very good. Placement cell is doing a good job, they bring some good companies on campus and those companies give sufficient opportunities to the students of getting placed. Placement ratio was 90% of our batch. It's between 80-90% every year.

The list of events on the college campus is very long. Few of them are- 'Anugoonj', the cultural fest of RIT. 'Sportech', the sports fest, RIT organizes sports on the very big scale. There is one more major event is 'Technomax', it is the technical exhibition of RIT.

The fee structure is not too much expensive. They provide you option to submit the fees in three installments. The fees are 1,00,900/- for the first year and from second year onwards its 94,000/-, yes you can say 1 lacs is too much. But the facilities RIT is providing, it's not the expensive place to study.

Campus life is exciting. There are lots of events throughout the year. The college organizes many competitions like debate, speech, rangoli, paper dress etc on the campus. Labs are well furnished with all the necessary equipment. Many students are from different countries, you can expect different cultures here.

Both the hostels are inside the campus. Yes, boys hostel is comparatively not up to mark to the girl's hostel. Girls hostel is one of the best accommodation in North India. Food quality is very good, WiFi enables campus, CCTV cameras are there, the GYM is there.

Exams are structured in such a way that you have the opportunities to improve your internal marks. There is two sessional exam every semester and if you missed any one of them for a genuine reason, college gives you another opportunity to give makeup test. This means you can decide your internals on your own.

I went through the website of RIT and i filled the registration form. After two days i received a phone call from RIT admission cell. As my 12th percentage was quite good they informed me about the meritorious scholarships available for students. Then i visited the campus, they took my written test, after clearing the test i got the admission.

Faculty of our college was very good at that time. Some of the teachers are extremely talented and they know how to generate skills in their students. Most of them are PhDs and M.techs and they are experienced enough to teach the subjects as per the industrial requirements.
