- I like the infrastructure of my college very much which is better than other colleges.
- I like the sports facilities here a lot. They provide us with equipments if required.
- There are good food facilities here. Many new food item I got to taste here.
Dislikes
- I don't like the washing machines provided. They don't work most of the times and not good care is taken for them.
- I think the college should pay more attention towards the companies visiting for placements.
- The teaching methods of faculties can be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
Actually from my childhood, my dream is to get into an IIT as it is the best engineering platform to improve ourselves. This college has the best curriculum to prepare my self to real world application. Teaching here is done with the help of slides, but I feel that it would be done on board as it give better experience. JEE exam is written in 2 shifts, each shift is of 3 hours.
Internships Opportunities
Currently IIT PATNA college is in collaboration with Japanese government which is helping students regarding the placements and good opportunities. Many Japanese companies are now participating in placement drives. Companies like Zomato , ola etc are also in placement drives.
Placement Experience
By the end of 4 th sem, students here will get internships and by end of 6 th sem we also get placements. Usually average package is between 20-25 lakhs and highest package is something like 80 lakhs in my college. approximately 95% of the students are getting placed. I'm interested to do job after btech and not much interested in future studies like masters. some good companies like Amazon, Oracle, Infosys, Wipro and few more are visiting my college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Here for each semester the tution fees is 1 lakh and people will get complete fee concession if having a low income certificate.and message fees is of approximately 20k for each semester and hostel fees is of around 6k. Travel, health and other expenses comprise of 5k. Coming to scholarships we can get some through online, students need to apply for scholarship of he needed.
Campus Life
Haa, actually annual festivals are so better where we enjoy a lot and expose out talent in the fests. We have 4 major festivals. Nebula which is freshers party, and celesta is an tech festival, infinito is an sports festival, and last anwesha-the cultural fest and biggest fest of North-east india. And also lot of other cultural festivals are celebrated, like sankranti, Dusshera, Ganesh chaturthi, and so many things, some campaigns are arranged with in college regarding blood donation, healthy runs etc. class rooms are provided with air conditioning, projector and computer.
Hostel Facilities
As I think there is no need of staying outside the campus in some rented area as the campus facilities are good. We are living in cv Raman block currently where 3 people are accompanied in each room. It is comfortable but it would be much more better if 2 people are accomodated. The food quality is awesome. 4 days in a week we are provided non veg while egg in every morning.but only one problem is with washing machines which won't work in most of the times.
Admission
The only way to get admission in this college is through JEE advance. As I'm from OBC category and having income certificate I'm getting all my 2 lakhs Tution fees as reimbursement.JEE advance is one of the toughest exam in the world which we will be qualified by writing JEE mains. Admission process, offer letter, seat allotment letter all through online.
