Students Eye View of NIT AGARTALA

Course curriculum is highly inclined to industrial knowledge and implementation frame works which are very much needed for an electronics engineer or instrumentation engineer. My Desire to be an Instrumentation Engineer found it's way through this course . Students are made aware of implementing the theoretical knowledge in Real life situations by professors and technical staffs in every possible way. The teaching methodologies are completely fine . Following proper classes students can excel both in academic and professional sectors.

ONGC , GAIL , BSNL, OTPC , NEEPCO, SIEMENS, ORACLE MATHWORKS and few other companies provide scholarship opportunities in sector of Software and also Core engineering segments including instrumentation engineer, Technical engineer, Analyst training and even management trainees.

Every Year There's more than 50 companies visiting the campus and more than 85% students are placed as software engineers , MTE , Analyst, core engineers etc. Companies visiting includes HPCL, BPCL, TOSHIBA , MATHWORLS , ORACLE, L&T, SIEMENS, TVS , MAHINDRA, TATA, ASHOK LEYLAND , etc. The highest package provided is 52lpa and average is 15lpa. I personally aim to get placed as a Instrumentation Engineer on getting my degree.

Fee structure consists of 3 category: annual Family income below 1 lakh, Annual family income between 1-5 lakh and Above 5 lakh. For below 1 lakh category students have to pay only 75 thousand during admission and the entire course is free. For 1-5 lakh students get remission of 2/3rd of tuition fees every semester and thus pays nearly 30k per semester. For income above 5 lakh total course fees is of ?5.6 lakhs . Students find a lot of scholarships which are state schemes , central schemes as well as Private schemes namely NEC NER scholarship, ISHAN UDAY scholarship , OBC scholarship etc. based on family income and merit basis. There's a dedicated Scholarship section run by the college administration which helps and coordinates students in applying for the schemes.

The campus amidst the natural beauty of Tripura is truly mesmerizing. Added are the Cultural fest MOKSHA, technical fest Kritiz and Ayam . And Many more such events and occassions celebrating the enthusiasm among students and festivals nationwide. The infrastructure are at per with modernity.There's a designated four storey building Called CENTRAL LIBRARY which is a designated library full of books and journals along with a digital library that has got access to highly important International online articles and Documents for research purposes. For students to remain fit and healthy there's a well equipped sports complex named ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE SPORTS COMPLEX which provides varieties in sports choices and yoga for students and faculties. There's a sports week even for holding various competitions every year. There are more than 20 different clubs aiming extra curricular segments.

For applying in this course student needs to clear the Jee mains exam and 12th boards with Physics, chemistry, Mathematics, English compulsorily and any other subject but there has to be 5 subjects . The application was released for Jee mains in January 2022 with application fees ?600 and exam was conducted by NTA and results on being declared by end of July the Jee mains website redirected to JOSAA website for further counseling process which took almost 1 month as there were 2 mock counseling rounds and then 6 rounds of actual counseling. I opted for reservation of General ews category based on annual family income and land area for family. Jee mains was conducted twice that year and best of the two was considered for admission. The Admission process was truly transparent and satisfying.
