Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is good and provides a dynamic development like analysis, teamwork, etc. also helps to improve networking and communication among peer groups. The teachers are well experienced and most of them had academic careers. Most of the teachers have good teaching style and methods, and i am quite satisfied (exceptions are there). Exam timing is like ok, we get around 1 and a half month before the mid term and around 2 months before end term exam. Difficultly level is medium. If someone keeps regular, he can score well.
Internships Opportunities
It provides good internship opportunities. Many students do internships at companies like amazon, jacobs, fractal, ONGC, NEEPCO, indian railways, iocl, etc. the private companies offer projects like development, role as an analyst, and the govt PSUs provide training related to core work or as a management trainee.
Placement Experience
College has been really improving in terms of placements. Cs branch almost 60-70 % of their branch for placed this year. For mechanical it is about 30-40% placement ratio from total students applied, for circuital branches the placement is good about 50%. I don't have the data. For other branches like chemical, civil and production decent placement. Renowned companies visit like Google, Amazon, oracle, cognizant, Deloitte, BPCL, TATA, Mahindra, L&T, Reliance Industries, etc. and a kot lot more. In the tech highest placements were about 40-50LPA and in core branches the highest were about 20-25LPA. Average placement is around 8-9 lakhs in the circuital, cs and mechanical branch. After degree I'm planning to join PSUs like ONGC and also appear in the GATE Exam .
Fees and Financial Aid
I am a general student, so i pay full fees i.e. around 8 lakhs in 4 years including tution fees, hostel and mess fees, and other charges like hospital, library etc. There is no sudden spikes in the structure. Before admission the fee structure is published. A lot of scholarships are there like NEC professional scholarship, ishan uday for freshers, Sc st scholarship etc. Internship opportunities are also there in the college like ONGC, NEEPCO, etc. A number of students from core branches got placed into these, this year.
Campus Life
Campus is good but not the best, I would say. Since it is a bit far away from the city. 2-3 fests are held every year like cultural fest Moksha, tech fest, Fresher program, sports etc.The library is very good and provides adequate facilities for the students, students get full advantage of the large collection of books available in the library. Classrooms are of good and most are equipped with screens and projectors. There is no lack of sports facilities in the campus, almost every sport is available and every year lots of students go for Inter NIT competitions. Lot's of Clubs are there like Developers and coder club, Pixel - photography club, NLC- literary club, Aaveg- drama club, dzire-dance club, malhar- music class. Ample of Clubs to pursue hobbies.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are so good. The RNT boys hostel is equipped with lift and well furnished rooms and bathroom, toilets, etc. The food quality is good, there are several messes, so student can choose their mess according to their staple food, eg: northern mess, eastern mess, southern mess, gargi mess. The hostel registration process was smooth and no hassle was there while allotment of rooms.
Admission
I appeared for JEE Mains 2023, and I visited NTA on social media platforms like twitter for application dates etc. I got home state reservation in Tripura. Exam level is medium to difficult. The admission process was very smooth at institute level after jee and csab counselling. Jee was a good experience.
