- Campus is very green and big. This makes it very fun to explore.
- Our labs are very well build and have a lot of new machines.
- We have a big shopping complex on campus where you can buy anything you want and also hang out in the evening.
Dislikes
- First year classes are held in the old building which is not as pretty as the branch buildings.
- First year mess food is very bad and difficult to eat
- We have 1 day of power cut once a month done by the state government.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very relevant. The curriculum itself is not really upto date with the real-world but it's not too outdated either. Our teachers make sure that we learn stuff outside our curriculum as well to make us have a idea of what's going on in the industry.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are really good in our college. This year oracle too 10-12 students for internship. Google too 1-2 students as well. You can generally get good internship if you keep you academics strong and do coding from first year itself.
Placement Experience
Placement in our college is growing every year. The circuital branches get good placement and mechanical and civil branch placement is also quite good compared to other colleges. Students from 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit in the college placement. This year the highest on campus offer was made by Google of 52lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total academic fees of our college comes out to be about 570000 for 4 year B.Tech course. Including hostel and mess charges the total fees comes out to be about 200000. The total comes out to be a little less than 770000. Our college has decent placement. This year the placement have been a bit down due to recession but placements are improving every year. There is financial air available for students. Complete academic fee waiver is available for students of Sc/St/PwD category. Genral and OBC students can get full fee waiver if there family income is less than 1lpa and 2/3rd fee waiver if their family income is between 1lpa and 5lpa.
Campus Life
Our college has a lot of clubs. Many cultural, technical and sports clubs are there. There is something for everyone in our college. We have a huge library with a very large collection of books, academics papers etc. you can find reading material on anything you want. We have one of the largest sports complex in india. There are tons of sports which are played in our college like cricket, basketball, vollyball, hockey, kho-kho, handball etc. Currently they are building a swimming pool as well.
Hostel Facilities
You get double sharing room in your 1st and 2nd year and a single sharing room in your 3rd and 4th year. Students of 1st and 3rd year live in the RNT hostel while the students of 2nd and 4th year live in the aryabhatta hostel. The hostel rooms are sufficiently big for 2 people. The first year boys mess in our college is a not good at all but other than that you get good food in rest of the college life. Girls hostel mess have good food for all 4 years.
Admission
For entry into the chemical engineering course of our college the usual JEE cutoff is around 65k rank for general category. Admissions are done through JoSSA councelling like any other NIT or IIT. You need at least 75% in your 12th board exams to be eligible for admission. There was no additional fees take other than the hostel room allocation fees during the time of physical reporting in our college. First semester fees was paid by the fees submitted during councelling in JoSSA. Our college usually have two main exams in a semester, mid-sem and end-sem.
