Collage Through Eyes of a Fresher

In our course, CSE, we also have to study chemistry and physics I don't know why. We also have to study a subject called digital designing, which is very hardware based. At first I was confused as to why we have to study this too like we are going to be software engineer not hardware, but I think it played a part in making me understand basic things about computer parts and memory. The other subjects that are computer oriented are pretty cool, I liked learning programming language and web development. I would say this course could have been more coding oriented but that's my personal interest maybe there's a reason as to why we have to study chemistry. In a year there are 4 exams which is pretty exhausting. It feels like exams come every other month. But it's not that hard to manage academics with personal hobbies.

I'm in first year so I don't have much idea about internship but I have heard about seniors getting good internship opportunity in pretty good companies. I think it's tough for CSE and ECE students to land an internship because of too much competition.

Placement of my college is fine. Good companies make offers to student my competition is high so you'll have to have great skills to be considered. Around 70-80 % are placed I think. Although Placement varies from branch to branch with CSE topping.

I'm general so there no mercy on fee for me. I have to pay it all which is fine for me. But people who came from financial unstable family have to pay less fees. Everyone can also apply for the scholarship although I don't know what is the eligibility. One I know about is bihar government scholarship , which basically gives upto 4 lacks with very less interest.

I'm introvert so it's a little hard for me to maintain social interaction. But there are many clubs which provides pretty good opportunity. Campus area is bit small but river ganga flows nearby so it's peaceful for me. Games and competition keep happening and everyone gets a good chance to participate in their interest. We have many feasts like eccentrica and tcf.

Hostel is fine. We have everything we need. Meal is not that great but edible. At the time of physical reporting we had to apply for the Hostel and according to availability of rooms we were alloted a hostel. Just outside the college there are many people who offer rents and pg.

We had do give JEE mains exams to apply for any NIT, we can apply for application online. I belong from general category so there wasn't any reservation for me and cutoff was pretty high. After securing a seat in josaa counseling we have to do physical reporting in the collage. After that admission process was over.I didn't liked how crowded it was during physical reporting there should have been a better system.
