Remarks

The application process started with the JOSAA counselling process in which there are a total of 6 rounds of counselling and then 2 special rounds which was conducted by CSAB where I had to fill up a form about the basic details like my personal details, academic qualifications and information about my family. After reviewing the cut-off for the CSE branch in my college in the past 3 years, I was confident that I would get into CSE branch in the 3rd or 4th round. After the counselling session got over I got the confirmation letter and payment reciept about my confirmation of taking the seat in CSE branch at NIT Agartala. The admission process consisted of logging into their academic site and printing out a admission slip which I had to show during my physical reporting. The fees for application was around 10000 and there were fixed dates during which students had to report.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of my course is quite helpful and informative and helps me push myself to do better and give my best possible performance. It also prepares me well for real world applications and boosts my academic pursuits.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Various internships are offered by the colleges due to their connections with many renowned companies like Microsoft, Cognizant, etc. The roles offered depends on the students skills and work experience and also their involvement in activities and projects.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements in my college has been quite good in recent years after the introduction of the new curriculum and an excellent faculty. Students are elligible for placements from the 6th semester and upto the end of the 8th semester. Many influential companies including Amazon,Microsoft,Cognizant,FoodPanda, etc. among many others have recruited students from NIT Agartala.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure differs for students of different castes and religions. The tution fee for general,EWS and OBC students is the standard price while it is not applicable for SC and ST students. The hostel fees is same for all students who reside in the hostel while those who are days scholars are required to give a transporation fee for availing the bus service. The complete cost of my education including all the various fees is around 1.6 lakh. Scholarships are available for the backward classes and also for those whose families struggle financially

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life in my college is quite amusing and fun. There are differents fests which are held every year including the annual cultural fest Moksha, technical fest Aayam and much more. There are a variety of clubs as well like the Developers and Coders Club,Google Developers Club,Enterpreneurs Club(E-cell),Photography Club(Pixels),Music Club(Malhar),Mech Estremo(SAE) Club and much more. All these clubs held their orientation sessions shortly after our admission and helped us know about all the different aspects of each club. The classrooms are well furbished and the technological provisions are quite amazing. There are also various sports activites within the college and also the Inter-Nit competitions where students from our college and other NITs are selected to perform in various sports.

Every year placements happen and about 80 percent of the total students of the institute get placed in various dream tier and other companies with good packages. The packages depend on year to year, more specifically on hiring trends. I still did not make a decision for my post degree plans.
