Overall review of NIT Kurukshetra

The btech in civil Engineering influence my career in research and development. The caricullum is not modern and somewhere old. The civil engineering helps me to build modern structure. There is two mid semester and end semester in a semester. The teaching method is quite good. The difficulty level is based on subjects.

In starting of seventh semester, student is eligible for campus placements. There are several companies that visited the campus including google, Amazon, Facebook, etc. The highest package is 1.25 crores and average package is 14.15 lacs. There is 98% placement in cse and 50% placement in civil department. There is decrease in placement as compared to previous year due to recession and lack of skill in students.

The tuition fees of the entire course is Rs. 5 lacs. The hostel fees is 9200 each year. The mess advance fees is 72000 per year. There is other service fees of 30000 per year. The central government controls the fees hikes. There is several private scholarship which college give details of. There is fees waiver based on income and caste. For sc/st/pad the tuition fees is zero. For general/ews less than 1 lac the fess is zero. For 1 lac to 5 lac there is 2/3 fees wailver on tuition fees.

The annual cultural fest is known as confluence happens in December. It is one of the biggest in entire North india. The technical fest is known as techspardha happens on January. The library has about one lac physical books and journal and 10 lacs of e books available for students. The classroom is fully hightech. There is smart board and projector in every class. There is computer labs.there is sport ground with several sports fully equipped. There is central gym in ground. There is also gyms in some hostels. There are several clubs, societies, ncc, nss etc. In college.

The hostel facility is good. There is triple sharing room in first year and single in rest years for boys and single rooms for girls. There is fans,lights and cupboard in each room. The boys hostels are not so well but girl hostels are quite good. The mess is under student committee that decide the meals with wardens. The taste of the meal is not so good. The registration process is quite easy. There are several hostels and PG out side campus.

The btech admission is totally based on JEE Mains. The application form is open in December and march and exams in January and April (Two attemps) . The application fees for each attempt is Rs. 750.The difficulty level of exam is moderate. Question is from physics, chemistry, maths. Paper is of 3 hours. The Councilling at college level is very frustrating and time consuming.
