I really liked the serene gurudwara of khalsa college. The societies are very nice and push you in a positive manner. You can hang out in jannat and basketball court with your friends. The exhibition of societies are extremely exciting.
The fests of different societies are very exciting.
Jannat and basketball court is one of the best place to hang out.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is extremely disappointing.
Canteen is extremely bad and disappointing
The classrooms often have issues with the AC.

Course Curriculum Overview

Political science Honours in SGTB KHALSA is one of the best cousin to pursue but it depends on your interest for the subject to master it. The faculty members are very helpful but to catch up with their teaching you need to study like an actual honours students and the habit of school learning will not fetch you enough knowledge. I have rated a six here because of my own personal disinterest in the subject.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for political science Honours course is around 24000. If you are a girl hostellers of the college then your hostel fees is around 70k for one semester and 10k is additional one time returnable fees taken as security. There are various scholarships for underprivileged students.

Campus Life

My campus life has been a bit full as the crowd here is very reserved and non enthusiastic. The societies are pretty active and it's because of the societies that I have joined, i got a few friends. The infrastructure is pretty disappointing.

Hostel Facilities

The girls hostel has very strict and rude wardens. The curfew timings are 7 and 7:30 for winters and summers respectively. The drinking water is very bad like you will definitely get sick if you drink their water.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

I took CUET for admission in du. My score after normalisation was 759 where as my actual score was 758. I got SGTB KHALSA clg North Campus with this cutoff. SGTB KHALSA clg was my 7th preference and obviously I couldn't make the cutoff for Hindu, Miranda, Ramjas, KMC, Venky and Hansraj

I choose B.A from DU SOL because the course curruculmis exactly the same as regular DU colleges which gives degree strong crediblity for UPSC goverment jobs and further studies like M.A the syllabus is coprehensive and covers core subjects like histyory, poltical science and english litreature in detail

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

BEYOND THE BOOKS COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

Sgtb khalsa , hidden gem of NC DU

The college is purely based on merit list except for the seat reserved for Sikh minority. However the crowd here is very mindful and cohesive. People you start getting along with will greet you wherever they see you and always up to help u with anything u want/need. The staff is equally active and works for students through students.
