The campus life is very nice the environment is very good there is a swimming pool gym library 8etc
Faculties really nice there are a lot of teachers who are really passionate about their job and excellent in teaching

The curriculum course of this BTech Marine Engineering is same as normal b.tech engineering but there are some additional course which are beneficial for the Marine engineer in their future job like maritime awareness workshop technology ship familiarisation etc

The percentage of placement is 100% in this college a lot of companies like MSK osk liners synergy shell Chevron come to this college for placements the average packages around 6 lakh in the highest is around 10 lakh

The hostel,mess, haircut uniform tuition fee everything is included in the semester fees which is 122500 per semester there is also scholarship available for the students provided by different states which are nearly in some thousands

The hostel facility is very nice the food in this is much better than all the private colleges the hostel fees is included in the semester fees and you can't rent a room or PG for this b.tech course in this college

Admission

To get into this college you have to appear for the Imu CET exam and get a rank after which you have to appear for the counselling and select your preferred college application free is around 1000 rupees and two reserve your seat it's 10000 rupees the difficulty of this exam is a bit easier than NDA

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development.
