Course Curriculum Overview

The course offered by the institute is bachelor's of technology in Marine engineering and it is a curriculum that vastly covers the topic of maritime and also essential in the sailing.. The course and training offered by the institute will help one enhance a boy to transform in a man for sure... And this 4 years will be the most beautiful and blissful moment of ones life.

Class Size: 274Course Fees: INR 275000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a increase in fee from the Indian maritime University i.e 275000/ year from 2023 entry batch onwards where hostel and mess fees are included earlier it was 250000/ year.. It is the cheapest institute in terms of money because marine engineering is one of the costliest courses offered

The college campus is of 33 acres.. full with greenery and a big playground followed by beautiful swimming pool and a gym.. and many other convinient for the cadets over here. The books in library are mostly from maritime industry and has a vast range of variety to it. The classroom is well furnished with advanced technologies

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development.
