In btech marine engineering there are total 8 semester In each semester there are practical assignment well as written exam 2 unit test and the final examination Marine Workshop are being conducted for students

The internship opportunities are pretty good and cadet are provided all the facilities asa best as possible the placed cadets are sent onboard for a particular period of time and then they are thought the basic terms of sailing

The placement is about 70 percentage By the 3 Rd year nearly 60 percentage gets placed If you don't have any backlogs the you will definitely get placed Companies like Nyk Anglo eastern Chevron Mol Shell British waterways And many more companies visits the campus

Campus Life

The infrastructure is pretty good considering the fees structure and the social events like tempest is conducted every year where technical cultural and sports events are conducted sports like football volleyball cricket table tennis marathon are conducted in the campus

The room are good for a person to live all the basic need are fulfilled The message food is average You will be allotted the room on first come first serve bases in one room there will be 6 cadets the size of the room is huge where you can keep your belongings You can not live in pg you have to live in campus itself

For btech marine engineering course you have to give imucet (Indian maritime University entrance exam) 12 th pcm aggregate 60 percentage Reservation is available for SC st and OBC cadets The exam is of moderate level conducted once in year

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development.
