College review for IMU-Kolkata

The college fee for each semester is 122500 rs nowadays,before it was 100000 rs ,their is also caution deposit of 30000 rs once, every thing from uniform, hostel, mess food , laundry, haircut is included in this 122500 rs semester fees, their is scholarship provided by different states which is nearly 10 k in some states, mostly students take loan for their studies which is easily provided by bank due to a good reputation of our college.

From the first semester onwards, students are eligible for the campus placements. There are a lot of companies according to their eligibility criteria they take student in their company the name of some companies are specific basin Chevron MSK OSK liners shell, Synergy ETC the average package is around 6 lakh and the highest is most probably around 8 lakh to 10 lakh the percentage of getting placement is 100% in this college and my plan is to join Chevron after getting the degree of Btech Marine Engineering.

The hostel facility is very nice. Everyday cleanliness and maintenance is done each room has nearly six beds four fans study table chair, bed and wardrobes. The quality of food in mess is much better than most of the private colleges the menu is present in the mess and every day the meal is different and it repeats the same in the week , the only con is there is no air conditioning in the rooms ,when you join the college , you have to show your admission letter to the wardon of the hostel and sign in the register hostel fees is included in the semester fees which is one 122500 rs.

Campus life is very nice. There is a mandatory rule to stay in the hostel and only on vacation you can go to home in these 4 years there is an annual festival called tempest in which different activities are held most probably in the month of February there is also a library in the campus where a large amount of books is available. All the classrooms are neat and clean and air conditioning is installed. There is always morning pt for all the students and sports groups created by seniors and also gym, swimming pool, badminton court, volleyball court, football ground is available.

To get into imu Kolkata first you have to appear for imu cet exam (application fee nearby 1000rs) which is conducted all over India once an year(mostly in June,July),the minimum criteria is above 60 aggregate in pcm in 12th class,then after clearing the exam you will get a rank you have to pay for the councelling fee and select your choice of college then as per cut off the seats will be provided then to confirm that seat you have to pay 10000 rs then you will be called to the college for document verification and then you can join the college.
