Remarks

Kalindi college is not so good but not so bad either. Infrastructure of college needs improvement, washrooms of college are really worst sometimes, canteen is quite healthy and serves good. faculty is best and helpful. Management of college is also okay but still needs to change things for a better result.

Entrance Preview

The first priority was on my list to opt Kalindi college for graduation was journalism course. kalindi college is a well-known college of DU, with academics prestige. There is really good faculty. Lecturers there tends to actually teach and was capable to reach the limits of each student with their tasks and projects.

Internships Opportunities

No, there was not any provided internships by my college but as a journalism student, it was compulsory for me & other students to do internships in a news channel or any portal or related to mass media firm.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements happen via kryptus placement cell. Most of the students are working with provided placements but the placements provided by the college was average, there is a lack of companies and the package offered by the companies who are providing placement opportunities.

College Events

3.5

In Kalindi, we have celebrated so many events like college fest for freshers or we can say fresher's party, departmental fresher's, diwali mela for diwali celebration, interdepartmental fest, Republic day orientation, college farewell, departmental farewell, sports day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

kalindi college have several courses and the fees structure Depends on courses because college charges more for practical course than a normal course. As a journalism student i have to submit extra fees for my practicals in media lab and private control rooms and according to the facility of all products, it was not expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship program for the students who are not able to submit fee or for those who need fees concession and for those student who scores higher in the academic session. and availing for loans depends on students, the college does not play any role in loans.

Campus Life

3

Delhi university is a name in which a set of colleges situated in all around delhi. any college of du gives you feel like a mini india because of students come from every state and different cities for their graduation. kalindi college is a college of girls to fixed the skewed sex ratio. kalindi college is great in academics, extracurricular activities is quite good and it domins the sports. Many of the courses have their lab with good facilities, like a computer lab, media lab, fully air-conditioned and well furnished.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college doesn't provide hostel facility and mess food. But i have heard that hostel work is on progress and canteen is quite good, they provide healthy food in college. they have mother dairy outlet and Nescafe outlet as well in college premises. There is a very nice sitting sheds in front of Nescafe.

Alumni/Alumna

The college boasts of illustrator alumni, which includes Ms. Mayawati, a former chief minister of uttar pradesh, Ms.krishna tirath, Minister for women and child development, and MS. kapila gaur chairperson of municipal corporation of delhi. several students of kalindi college is working on a prestigious platform on media. as per my experience, our super senior was very humble and mature ones. Both seniors and super seniors always guide us as a true mentor.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is base on a semester. under b.a(H) of journalism, we have 6th semesters in the graduation of 3 years. Each semester have different courses and per subject carry 100 marks,in which 75 for theory test and rest 25 includes class attendance, practicals, projects.

Admission

for the very first i had to wait for merit list and cut-off according to my score in 12TH class. In 6th cut-off i was able to get admission in journalism course, i visited college and consulted with administration staff and take the admission form and registered my name in the course. In second round i had to verified my documents(12th marksheet, obc certificate..etc) by teachers and then i filled up next and main form and after that there was 2-3 teachers approved my admission form.

Faculty

4.5

It was very difficult for me to assess the faculty as a fresher.I assess the information about faculty of my college by the help of the administration office. The administration told me about the media lab & pcr of journalism department, from where i contacted my teachers.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
