Likes

College life such as annual college fests
Clubs are very active and provide resources for skill development
Huge campus filled with greenery and lakes

Dislikes

Access to city is difficult as you have to cross a river to reach city
Academics are pretty difficult from the second year
Grading is random depending on the instructor

Course Curriculum Overview

Few courses are outdated and of no use but still taught in the curriculum frequency and difficulty of exams depends on the instructor of the course. Every department has common courses in the first and second semesters

There are about 100 companies but some of them are *Sde- amazon,google,microsoft,nutanix,rubrik,jpmc,de shaw *quant-jpmc quant,alpha grep,quadeye,ebullient securities *data analyst(ML roles)-warner bros,amazon... *digital -NVIDIA

*student must have a cgpa of 6 to be eligible for the placements ( but in practice it is recommended to maintain the cgpa above 8) * students are offered internship in their third tear of study and placements in 4th year *Approximately 200 companies arrive to campus during placement season pffering various job roles

Tution fee is 1,00,000 Medical assistance +mess fee+gymkhana fee+room rent+maintenance fee ....etc costs 35,000 (All the above mentioned are per semester in ?) So complete cost of education may be close to 12,00,000 to 14,00,00"

Campus life is pretty cool * Clubs are very active * Annual cultural,technical,sports festival are conducted *Inter hostel sports,cultural,technical,welfare competitions (GC) *well equipped gyms and respective courts for playing any sport

Eligibility is decided through JEE advanced and you can apply through josaa portal online if you are alloted this college then later formalities are finished through official iit guwahati portal online

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Haah here the faculty are splendid since they are all alumini of iit or nits . And we get college mail.in this mail will get notification about classes and more activities like hackathon or some technical events.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Amazing life in nit Silchar

Placement Experience:

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

I chose IIT Guwahati because of a strong IIT brand , excellent placements and comparetively lower fees. Compare to other IIT's it provied good campus expreience and less academic pressure. Compare to other NIT's , private colleges ,IIT Guwahati stands out in every fields. If one coudn't make it too higher IIT's it's because of not elegible after the JEE advanced rank as competition is very intense. I chose this college because this is one of the top 7 institute for engineering in India i applied for all 6 institutes which I failed to be in because it was based on the performance in JEE which is the entrance process for IITs. Detailed and Unbiased Review

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level. Admission Process: Involves early payments of fees before arrival to the Campus.
