Pros and cons at IIT Patna

The course I enrolled is mechanical engineering. This is one of the oldest engineering branch. I chose this course because this is having a very good demand in public. Mechanical engineers are paid well. Mechanical engineers are very important for innovations.well in my college I think everything is ok like the course curriculum and teaching is also very good we are given best faculty.

Many internships are provided from top companies like Google step , Microsoft, edulite India, Flipkart, de shaw, like stipend around 170000 per 4-6 weeks. Projects like lost and found app, projects related to webdev. The internship opportunities are given from 5th semester.

The placements in iits are generally good. Even in IIT Patna placements are decent. Students from 7th semester are eligible for placements. Many companies visited campus like Google, microsoft, Tata, Deshaw, Amazon, Flipkart ect. The highest package for mechanical engineering was around 4500000 and average was 1200000 in the year 2022 it was 100% and in the year 2023 it was 74%. I am aiming to become a data scientist

The fee structure is generally Academic fee is 3000 Tuition fee is 100000 hostel fee is 6000 institute fee is 7400. This is for generally for one semester. For general category students there is no fee reduction for EWS category students they should only 1/3rd of the tution fee same for OBC NCL students . For ST and SC students they have full tution fee waiver. For job roles and other information all the information is provided in IIT Patna's official website.

IIT Patna is a very huge iit. It is spread in 500 acres. There are many fests happening. Main fest of IIT Patna ie cultural fest is anwesha in the month February. The technical fest of IIT Patna is celesta in the month of November. Sports fest is infinito in the month of October.There are many books in the library regarding all streams. Ac's and smart projectors are there in every classroom. Cricket ground,football ground,lawn tennis court,volley ball court, basket ball court, badminton court etc are present. Many clubs like dance club-exousia music club-syaahi etc are there.these all make student life better at iit Patna

Hostels generally have all the facilities required. Double sharing rooms with 2 almiras and 2 study tables and rooms have proper ventilation. Hostel has hot water geyser and washing machines and fridges in alternate floors. Food in the hostel isn't that good the meal quality is ok but not that tasty everything is cooked with potatoes. Menu includes like parathas idli sandwich etc for breakfast. Hostel fee is also to be paid while paying institute fee and mess fee is to be in other portal which is mentioned by them

So for the admission in to IIT'S we need to clear Jee advance and to reach jee advance we should clear jee mains. Jee mains and advance exam is based on Math, Physics and Chemistry. We should first register for jee mains and this exam is conducted 2 times a year in a span of 4 months. Based on paper difficulty and performance of students NTA sets a cutoff of students . Different cuttoffs for diff categories/ castes. For the students of St and Sc it is much easier to pass the cutoff and For OBC people of they have OBC-NCL certificate the cutoff is lower as compared to general category and for general category people if they have EWS certificate it would help them in cutoff and getting a seat. One should register in NTA website for jee mains. All the students studying their 12th STD are eligible. Jee mains is held for 3 hrs and for 300 marks and generally twice a year where as jee advance it is held for 3 hrs in mrng and 3 hrs in afternoon and is only held once a year and after jee mains
