Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is not so difficult but it is built such that you must know everything thing about engineering and you have all the knowledge about the shipping merchant Navy with that you must have basic communication skills in the industry, the college tries to keep a good competition among the student.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 225000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placement is fine and it is increasing day by day and year by increase big companies like management company fleet management Anglo eastern are the regular recruiters of our college and they paying good salary to our seniors every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees or fees of the academic year 2023 is increased to 11 lakh per annum but our fees was 9 lakhs it's ok have such fees they worth there are state scholarship and good loans at low interest rate to the officers.

Campus Life

Tempest is our annual fest which is asias biggest marine fest with that there are other festival such as lithosphere which heart of this college which is manage by our college student and they interested into all kind of activity.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is good specious for two people but first year is having a accomodation of 6 people which is ok and good and the meal is ok quality not speciall and it's fine to have such meal and you need to be fine for such digestion.

Eligibility is have pcm and English in class 12 and class 10 English you must clear your 12th with 60 percent in pcm and 50 percent in English in class 10 and 12. You need to clear imu cet to eligible for imu Kolkata or any imu

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development.
