You wanna know about NITC

I would rate 5 out of 5 for the curriculum. As it is the perfect level for us. Not much to add or to subtract. We have labs and workshops frequently. I really started to see the things through what I have studied from here. We have midsem and endsem per sem.The exams may be simple or harder. But no probs. Most of the subjects evaluation are relative, so no worries.

There are lot of internship opportunities here. But students go outside more like iit madras as it has greater privilege than here. There is no much internship opportunities for first years. But it starts from second year

The NIT Calicut has 100 percentage placements as per my knowledge. And they deserve that. Students are very innovative. From 6th semester itself students are being placed. And it depends upon the students.

Tution fee is about 40000 per year for me. But students having annual family income above 5 lacks can have 125000 Rs tution fee per year and about 40000 for family income between 1 and 5 lack. And 0 for below 1 lack. But there many scholarship that are available also having more chance to get as the student is from nit. The scholarship availability also depends on the branch. (Cse, Ece, Eee, etc.) There is more probability for CSE students. Financial assistance from the Institution is based on the cgpa of your semester. NSP, Buddy4study, are the main sites for the scholarship. There are a lot of scholarship under those.

The environment is very nice in NIT Calicut. There are students from different area and different cultures. So it is very entertainment to have time with them the friends. Also we will have an overall development as we know different people. There are lot of extracurricular activities here. Sports, artsl. Etc. Students go for inter NiT competition for sports. Such us Football, Basketball, Swimming. Etc. There are also clubs like robotics, agriculture, animal etc. The library is available all day except weekend and holidays. The books should be renewed once in every month as long as you have them else there would be fine. There are projectors available in every class rooms.

The hostel facility is good. I took the NITC ladies hostel. It is opposite to the campus, not inside. The mess food is very very good. There is enough menu available every day. Also the hostel bathroom is very clean and hygiene. Chechi cleans it every day. Also the canteen is very clean. The only problem is there are cats here and there. They do make food dirty. Bur they walk near us.

I attended JEE Mains in 2023.The percentile you got from this entrance exam decide which NIT you're eligible .To be eligible for the exam you score more than 50 percentage for the higher secondary level.The site of nta is required to apply for the exam. NIT Trichy is the best NIT. People who score more than 98 percentile (general rank) will be occupying there most probably. But students in SC, ST, EWS has special reservation for the seats in NITs. The exam will be 3 hours in which there are Physics, Chemistry and Maths paper. But I think physics and Chemistry are somewhat easy compared to Maths. I was not able to attend much question for maths. But i got good percentile in maths. I think most of the students face the same problem. The admission process was too much lagging. Though we had paid fees, we may feel where these fees are going. Because they do not give any info regarding this through mail or any other thing.
