Course Curriculum Overview
If you want to join merchant navy as a engineer it is the best way to carry on and get your dreams fulfilled and to get the best out of you. It is one of the most reputed and the beat college for engine side in the merchant navy.
Internships Opportunities
It has different MOU's signed with different government bodies which will provide you immense opportunities to get internship like INS SHIVAJI, Many ports and docks. You can try any other internship on your own also . The college always appreciates it.
Placement Experience
Students can get placement from 2nd year. But some companies have sometimes even came for lady cadets in 1st semester also. The placement is the best in our country here. You get the best companies here. Your package depends on the type of ship you are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay 225000 rupees per year till 2022 entry . For odd semesters you have to pay 1000 and for even 100000. You also have to give 20000 as security deposit. You can not get any financial assistance from the college or university directly but you can enroll in many government or other scholarship programs. From 2023 entry the fess is 275000 per year. Other private colleges for the same course can charge as much as 25lakh for 4 years.
Campus Life
It has Asia's largest marine fest Tempest. The sports here is also extraordinary. You will get good players and can even enhance your sport skills. It has a new modern library which is double floored. And lots of books related to the field and outside the field is there. You will have AC rooms for class. College has its own band group and different cultural groups.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is average for the first years. You will get accommodation with 5 persons in your room. But, in second year you will get 2 in a room , 3rd year 3 in a room and single in 4th year. Meal is not excellent but still of good quality. Hostel is compulsory here you can't leave outside the campus due to its schedule.
Admission
It takes admission on the basis of IMU CET rank On the basis of that you get colleges according to your preferred choice and availability. You have to be medically fit to come here. You have to go through counselling for college . Then you will be given a college and you will have to report here with your medical certificate made by a DG Shipping approved doctor. You must have some documents before said and passport.
