- The college is situated in guwahati at banks river brahmaputra and surrounded by hills. It is very beutiful.
- College is research oriented. So good for students willing to pursue higher studies

- College is away from guwahati city so travelling is difficult
- Food is average and costly also. There is not much variety
- Academics is hectic. From 8 am to 5 pm you have to be in classes and labs
Course Curriculum Overview
In first year you learn the basics of engineering which are common courses for all the branches. In second year we are taught the basic concepts and other required relevant courses for data science and ai. In third year we are taught the core concepts like machine learning big data data visualization and we have these labs also. In forth year we learn applications like financial and biological application of data science and ai.
Internships Opportunities
There are lot of companies who come for internships in college in 3rd year like jpmc google microsoft de shaw icici nvidie jio quadeye alphgrep sprinkler qualcomm etc. There are other research internship opportunities in college as well under professors.
Placement Experience
There are lot of employment and internships opportunities in college. Average placement package is 25 lakhs. Lot of companies like jpmc google microsoft deshaw etc. Top branches like cse dsai mnc have almost 90 percent and other branches placement varies from 60 70 percent
Fees and Financial Aid
So actual tution fees 1 lakh per semester and 30000 hostel fees . But there are two types of scholarship like for people whose parent income is less than 5 lakh they can reduce their tution fees to 33000 and for those whose income is less than 1 lakh do not have to pay any tution fees. There are other scholarships like mcm scholarship institute merit scholarship etc..
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing. You have all types of facilities related to sports gymkhana and lab related facilities . Ther are canteens and juice center in all the hostels. There is one food court and cafe coffee day open for 16 hours a day. There are lots of clubs related like coding club finance and economics club etc. And other cultural clubs like dance club music club drama club etc.
Hostel Facilities
Every student get double bed rooms for two students for first two years of btech while in 3rd and 4th year you get single rooms. Rooms are spacious enough to live. Hostel and mess accomodation per semester cost 30000. The facility are good proper washing machines for washing clothes. Cold water filters for clear drinking water etc.
Admission
It was two exam process. First Jee Mains and then Jee Advanced. Aftet both the exams, you have to go through the process of JOSAA counselling for admissions. For jee mains you have to be in 1.5 lakh candidate outof 10 lakh candidate. While in jee advanced you have to be in top 25 thousand student out of 1.5 lakh. Josaa counselling is bit tedious and takes lot of time which i did not like. It should take less time for the benefit of qualified candidate.
